arbol met hammal while laying in a pile of daisies. hammal is large, clunky, awkward, shy, apologetic, and pretty much the most disappointing person in the world. he's a treasure and needs to be protected. even rythika finds him endearing and has more or less laid claim to the poor fellow. she puts flowers in his hair and grooms him nicely, so hammal accepts it. he could do a lot worse than a borderline narcissist like rythika.

hammal is very tall, has a broad build, and were it not for his fabulous coloration, would be even more intimidating. people are usually disappointed when the person they speak to is little more than an overgrown baby.

hammal really wants to lay in flowers, but unlike arbol, he's... not graceful in the least. he tends to crush, ruin, and otherwise destroy them. how sad.
