I know it seems strange - and perhaps a bit humble-braggy - to complain about having too much beer, but it can be inconvenient to have things get lost in the shuffle, only to pop back out when doing a semi-regular inventory of the stash. It was thanks to one of those that this bottle of Merit Chanan Saison I picked up in Hamilton a couple of months ago came to be opened tonight, and I’m glad it did. It’s a remarkablyf complex saison, with notes of several types of citrus, coriander, pineapple, white pepper, spruce shavings, and more. Great body as well, soft and full on the palate, but also quenching and refreshing.
