BEFORE : 2000. C'est à Busan que la petite Han-Eul voit le jour au sein d'une famille aimante. Enfant unique et orpheline dès l'âge de 5ans c'est aux côtés de sa grand-mère, propriétaire d'une petite boulangerie de quartier qu'elle évoluera. Malheureusement criblée de dettes et contrainte de mettre la clé sur la porte, sa grand-mère tombe malade.

NOW : Afin de subvenir aux besoins de sa grand-mère, Han-Eul s'est vu forcé d'accepter un mariage arrangé avec un certain Kim Jung-Hwa, un riche entrepreneur. Mariage d'intérêt et loin du coeur, elle finit par sombre dans une légère dépression et songera à quitter le pays ainsi que son foyer. Y arrivera t-elle?
