With a heavy sigh, you set down the last of your boxes in the hallway.
You really got lucky with this house.
Despite it being well over fifty years old, it was in surprisingly great shape; and with the updated appliances and renovations, it might as well have been brand new.
A beautiful forest surrounded it, and light was coming through the windows in just the right way, only adding to the overall charm. The house wasn’t completely secluded, but your nearest neighbors were definitely more than a five minute walk away.
And that’s how you liked it.
Hidden from the urban world, with all of the time in the universe to yourself. And of course, your closest friends.
“Ah, that’s the last of ‘em! Thanks for helping me out, Aoi!”
You skillfully dance around the boxes littering the floor, and towards your favorite indigo-haired friend.
“No need to thank me! Just invite us back over when you have everything set up, and we can have a movie night!” Aoi winked at you, pulling you into a tender hug.
You beamed at her and returned the hug with just as much warmth. “Yeah yeah. And we can make some popcorn and brownies too, while we’re at it!”
Pulling back, Aoi questioned, “Hey, where did Nene go?”
"Uh,” You glanced around, hearing some tinkling of plates nearby. “Maybe the kitchen?”
You both poked your head around the corner, spotting Nene as she helped unpack some of the dishes and cutlery.
“There you guys are!” Nene lit up. “[Name]-chan, I can’t believe you were able to find such a cute house for a this price! It’s so dreamy..”
She pulled open twin french doors to reveal the afternoon glow on the forest, casting an array of orange, golden, and green light through the trees.
“I can’t believe it either,” You sighed with a smile. “When I was talking to the real estate agent, Minamoto Teru, he said that the house had been on the market for decades. If they hadn’t updated the interior and fixed up the exterior, then it would have stayed vacant. I’m not sure why, though.”
Aoi laughed lowered her voice jokingly. “Ooooh, maybe it’s haunted.”
“Oh god, I hope you’re wrong..” Nene sighed. “We’ll have to ask Teru about it’s history some day.”
You leaned on the counter top, a playful smile on your lips. “Are you sure you don’t just want to ask Teru out on a date?”
“Now that would be the dream..” Nene closed her eyes with a giggle, lost in her imagination.
“Before we get too relaxed,” Aoi mused, “We should probably put together some furniture so you’re not just sleeping on the floor tonight, [Name].”
“Mmm, maybe after we order some food~”
A few hours had passed. Nene and Aoi gave their hugs and goodbyes, with the promise to visit very soon.
‘Don’t miss us too much!’ they called out while they waved at you.
You were tired, sore, and were definitely not looking forward to all of the unpacking you would have to do tomorrow. But alas, you quickly brushed your teeth and washed your face, only thinking about jumping into your newly-built bed.
You soon found yourself snuggling into the softness of your comforter, exhaustion lulling you into sleep.
And as you remained blissfully unconscious, you hardly even noticed the pair of ghostly amber eyes, following your every move.

She’s known Amane a lot longer than she’s known Tsukasa but Tsukasa is FUN. Amane used to play with her a lot but since the trouble with the seven mysteries has been going on he hasn’t had the time to. So when she meets Tsukasa it’s just so much play time and being little bastards together.
Amane is EXASPERATED BY THIS. He’ll ask her for help and the only way she’ll do anything for him is if he brings her something shiny/pretty/cool or candy lol Feels like an arrow in his chest when she says that Tsukasa is just way more fun to hang out with lmao
Kou and Nene think she’s ADORABLE so Sakura sticks around sometime for the attention they give her
I took a look at the prompt list and one thing bothered me, would it be a good idea for the Benriya to send Hanako back to her sister when she has more likely forgot about her past due to TB pills? She could have forgotten how to "talk" her sister.
It depends on how long she’s been taking them, I think! If it hasn’t been too long, she’ll probably be able to recover her memories pretty quickly. I was thinking it was going to be a matter of months, not years, so I think a few days recovery, maybe a couple of weeks, and she’ll be good.
Alex had been taking the pills for YEARS, probably around 10 years, so they probably did a lot of damage, that’s why it’s taking so long for her to recover her memories.
