I recently got a pin loom & went kinda crazy making up squares from leftover stash handspun & commercial yarns. They’re not all perfect with a few dodgey corners, but I think they are all excellent candidates to be sewn into small potholders and pouches.
Just off the loom!
Shadow weave dishtowels. Our first project on the new 8-shaft floor loom! And my first exploration of shadow weave. It's like log cabin's older, much more ineffable cousin. Woven in 8/2 cotton with four colours (dark green, light blue, dark brown, light green). I think the brown/green quadrant looks like mint chocolate chip ice cream...
Weaving is fun :>
Cotton warp and a cotton-linen weft that naturally blended in an ombre gradient from red-orange to yellow-orange.

Had some sun in the living room today 😌
The scarf is done btw!
Right now it's having a bath
Got this gorgeous thing off the loom today! This is the main piece for our tree skirt; the top will be gathered and fastened in some way (button? ribbon? tbd) to go around the stand and trunk, and the bottom will have a wide ruffle to peek out from under our tree ☺️ (eta: the ends will be in the seam between the ruffle and the main body so they didn’t need to be woven in. It’s fine.)
