Here are 10 more of my shots documenting Lily Tomlin at the Hand and Footprint Ceremony Honoring her at the 2022 TCM Classic Film Festival. I first met Lily outside Arena Cinelounge. I was on assignment to shot her at a screening about an underground radio station in New York that broadcast during the 70s. As I was walking along the sidewalk near Mi Eli’s she came walking my way with friends. Rather than ignore her I felt the proper thing to do was introduce myself to her and inform I’d be covering the event later that evening. It was a nice brief exchange of pleasantries and I didn’t see her until the screening. I remembered her from Laughin and all her characters. Then there were her movies that are too numerous to recount here. Over the years I’ve regularly ran into her and we’ve had nice exchanges and a few laughs. So it was a total pleasure to see her receive this honor celebrating of a much accomplished life. She has more planned. Her and Jane are partnering up for a movie and there’s other things on the horizon. It was a good day for Lily.
