Rise was actually fairly happy. She seemed to be doing well here academics-wise, and she was living relatively happily - her roommate didn’t bother her too often, so that was a plus. And hey, she was away from some more annoying people, so that always helped. Everything seemed great.
Then, suddenly, as she was walking down the street, she heard an unfortunately very familiar voice, and Rise felt as if everything just went horribly wrong. No. Nononononono. He couldn’t be here. Not in this so-called city of love. Oh god, please don’t... Yep, it was him.
“Teddie?! Wh-what are you doing here?! How did you even afford to move down here to begin with?!” Clearly Rise’s composure remained absolutely flawless. Clearly.
