This original Victorian print is part of a series of prints - 17 in total - that appeared in Robert Smith Surtees comic novel Handley Cross. The artist is John Leech

The book print is taken from a first edition of Handley Cross. The prints are hand coloured and date from 1854. Even after 164 years the colours are crisp and vibrant.

Print is on heavy paper with a wonderful patina and would look good matted and framed.

Size - 22 x 14.5 cms / 8.75 x 5.75 inches. This size includes white border.
