An alter ego means alternative self, which is believed to be distinct from a person's normal or true original personality. It is a second self or different version of oneself: such as the opposite side of a personality like Clark Kent and his alter ego Superman. In Latin, alter ego literally means "second I". Alter ego can also refer to the second, hidden side of one's own self.

I thought I’d post my first #artvsartist and along with it share a little about myself, so here we go: • I have always been into art and illustration, and even graphic design of some variety since before I knew what it was; writing, illustrating and stapling together storybooks since I could spell well enough to write a sentence • I travel a tiny bit, but I don’t quite understand wanderlust, I love being home on the east coast of Canada and I hope we never have to move • My favourite music ranges anywhere between AM radio maritime folk music and reggaeton • The older I get the more annoyed I get by people who label other people stupid, no matter who they are, and I am TRYING not to be this way myself • My favourite thing in the world is snuggles with @align450 and Georgie So now you know me a wee bit more! Sometimes I’m leery of sharing personal details with you guys but I find that’s just me being pretentious, so I’m trying to be more open. Lovely entry by @cynlopink. ・・・ I love the beach, what I don’t love is when I go to the beach and see trash that someone has left behind, especially trash that ends up in the ocean. I recently learned about an organization that is working to bring awareness to the issues facing our ocean, Surfrider Foundation @surfrider . The have a program called Ocean Friendly Restaurants, the main goal is eliminating EPS foam foodware (aka Styrofoam) because it is a top item found at beach cleanups they do. Restaurants participating must follow the first five criteria: * No expanded polystyrene use (aka Styrofoam). * Proper recycling practices are followed. * Only reusable tableware is used for onsite dining, and disposable utensils for takeout food are provided only upon request. * No plastic bags offered for takeout or to-go orders. * Straws are provided only upon request. You can go to surfrider.org to find Restaurants participating in this program.
