Find out why and how to make your own wonton wrappers to use for tasty dumplings and wontons. If you make your own wrappers, you can control what goes into them, and the food will taste better and be fresher.
Ingredients: 2 cups all-purpose flour. 1/2 teaspoon salt. 1/2 cup warm water.
Instructions: In a large mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour and salt. Slowly add the warm water to the flour mixture while stirring with a fork or chopsticks. Knead the dough until it becomes smooth and elastic, about 5-7 minutes. Cover the dough with a damp cloth and let it rest for 30 minutes. Divide the dough into small, equal-sized balls, about the size of a walnut. Roll each ball into a thin, round wrapper, about 3 inches in diameter. Use a rolling pin and dust with flour to prevent sticking. Stack the wrappers with parchment paper in between to prevent sticking. Your handmade wonton wrappers are now ready to use for dumplings or wontons!
