Bits from #GenFest2018 #Hands4Humanity held at PNSB, Pasay.
What I’ve learned from this event is the real meaning of unity in diversity. There might be language barriers along the way as we speak different languages and were from different countries but as a human being, as part of humanity, we proved that we can go beyond all those barriers and be one for this event.
It might be and I know it really is difficult to be a blind person as you grow up but these people who were born without eyesight proved to me how can a person still flourish even without it. These kids showed me how to go beyond the lines. Beyond barriers and to look at the world from a different perspective.
And lastly, I realized just like one of the delegates said, we might be from different races, speaks different languages, but we are not totally different at all. We are all the same. Humans. Trying to prove that the world still has humanity left in it no matter how cruel it is. There are still people who care.
We can always go beyond the barriers. Break it and stepped on it. So we could be one.
“We are not really different. We are all human beings and that’s what makes us pretty much the same.”
