You said it so it must be true bro @rob.127 . I now understand I have to go that much harder in your honor because you were able to see something in me at a time when I didn't even see it for myself. When we met, ten years ago, we like other freshman at Howard populated the coveted 5th floor of Drew Hall and immediately grew a bond out of proximity and then eventually hoop and all things music/culture. The thing that stood out about Rob was how effortless it was for him to adapt to any situation with any person in any environment. He literally became your best friend once you met him. Also, I was inspired by the fact that he was always ahead of the game as he was the first person I seen in the dorms with a 40 inch HD tv and the ability (as a man) to keep his room spotless 24 hours a day 7 days a week lol. When we got older and weren't always living in the same building he always made it a point to see me whenever I djed near him or whenever he was in town for anything at all, the definition of a real genuine friend. It pains me to know that the person that I looked up to, that everybody looked up to, was actually hurting and crying out to be loved in some way and no one was able to see it before it was too late. I’ve been wrestling with it since I got the news yesterday and it is only shown me that the impact we have on other people was truly most important in the midst of this rat race we call life. In celebration of his life we’ve got to start doing everything #LikeRob. Tell a story #LikeRob, make a new friend #LikeRob, enjoy your life and bring your friends with you #LikeRob, celebrate your friends and family #LikeRob, and if you end up being consistent in all these you’ll end up a legend #LikeRob. Long live the memory of Rob Lawrence the great. #HandsomeRob #RobLawrenceTheGreat @rob.127
