Soon to be strung on bakers twine. Garlands of dried apples and leather britches for your mantle. #thankfulsagefarmschool #handsonheritage #tylerstatepark #earlyamericanlifecycles #ilovemyjob (at Tyler State Park)
Our Hands-on Heritage series started up yesterday, where we discussed the role of the hearth in the heritage home. Did you know it is approximated that the average 18th century homestead needed 40 cords of wood to function properly in the winter? At the end of each of our classes, we produce something with our hands- natural fire starters was our first craft of the season. If you are interested in joining future classes, a link to the classes is in my bio! #thankfulsagefarmschool #handsonheritage #buckscountypa #hearth #preservingheritagepractices #ilovemyjob https://www.instagram.com/p/BpCTxjLBp51/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=14ncjqvtxklk9
Happy Autumn, friends! This is my very favorite time- cool nights, warm days, goldenrod and my potager garden still giving. It’s also the rollout time of my Hands-on Heritage Series in historic Bucks County! This year we have an afternoon session just for homeschoolers (12 and up) as well! #thankfulsagefarmschool #handsonheritage https://www.instagram.com/p/BoCR29Uh03x/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=1ab19feqhh39v
