This cute little fire from camping out in @tylerstatepark — these little packages you could put in the fires to make them all sorts of colors. Loved it! Definitely made the s’mores BEFORE throwing the package in there. You know the CHEMICALS. No, but seriously it was hella fun to be able to have a fire going on a chilly night. Enjoying the stars and nature. Then turn around and see A FUCKING RACCOON trying to sneak onto the picnic table. A short video I took on the hike in @tylerstatepark ! I had a lot of fun getting to just be IN nature. I forget how much I need time away from everything to enjoy how amazing nature really is. The video does NOT do the area justice. The campsites are inexpensive to rent AND there are bathrooms/showers. A view from our lunch spot in Tyler State Park. I usually get in my head a bit about a potential photo having to be quite good before I haul out the 8x10. This usually results in me never getting the camera out which is counterproductive because that often the main reason I am out that day. Anyway this was a conscious move to get the camera out, find a shot, and move on. Across a cove in Tyler State Park. One thing we started in the fall was to visit our Texas State Parks. We are able to get to about a dozen within a reasonable amount of time and we can stay socially distant from people pretty easily. We made our first trip to Tyler State Park in October to get a look at some fall color.
