Rainbow Wrap - August 2018- warp was made from supima cotton hand dyed in colours reminiscnt of a Kingfisher. This was combined with a pineapple bast fibre and cotton weft, dyed in rainbow colours. The weave chosen was an undulating twill to create the illusion of watery movement as I have always been inspired by water.

Good afternoon to one and all..... hope all goes well and you're ready for the storm tomorrow! As most of you likely know, I've added yet another obsession over the last few years as I seem to have dove head first into weaving. It certainly was good to have something else to keep me occupied during the Covid lockdowns in between jewelry making adventures...... especially as I had some trouble getting jewelry making supplies!!! Spent some time the last few days working on my "new to me" Leclerc Colonial loom (this is loom number three if anyone is keeping count.... yep head first!). I'm still trying to tweek the loom setup to get it weaving nicely so that I need to use fewer words while using it ;-) Of course, I had to try out a new weave structure as well! Whatcha think so far?
