Polivalents #11- SORÇ
El 27 de juliol Hangar acull la 11ª edició de les Sessions Polivalents, un conjunt d’activitats de caràcter anual i d’un sol dia de durada que són gestionades per les artistes residents del centre. El seu objectiu és obrir vies de comunicació i debat a través de la col·laboració pràctica, en qualsevol dels seus formats: conferències, accions conjuntes, activitats paral·leles, etc. En aquest sentit, les activitats seran produïdes per les mateixes artistes residents i per altres creadores escollits per elles.
Aquesta nova edició girarà al voltant del concepte Sorç.
Sorç ens deixa veure el que habitualment no veiem, les formes, processos i porositats que hi ha en les coses, igual que la imatge del temporalment fosc que ens mostrarà l’eclipsi total que tindrà lloc durant la nit d’aquesta jornada. Durant aquestes sessions polivalents s’il·luminaran diferents espais, fragments descentralitzats de fluïdesa orgànica, a través dels quals podrem obrir els nostres sabers com una manera de crear una experiència comuna. Alguna cosa que va més enllà del tecnològic o maquínic, alguna cosa relacionada amb les nostres formes de fer i el quotidià: els nostres cossos, imaginaris i maneres de sobreviure.
Un escenari idoni per compartir allò que desitgem i volem que esdevingui possible, com apunta la filosofia open source.

On 27 July, Hangar will host the 11th edition of the Sessions Polivalents, a set of annual, one-day activities that are managed by the centre’s resident artists. Its aim is to open up channels of communication and debate through practical collaboration in any of its formats: conferences, joint actions, parallel activities, etc. In this sense, the activities will be produced by the resident artists themselves and by other creators chosen by them. This new edition will revolve around the Sorç concept. Sorç lets us see what we usually don’t see, the shapes, processes and porosities that are in things, as well as the image of the temporal darkness that will show us the total eclipse that will take place during the night of this day. During these Sessions Polivalents we will illuminate multiple micro-spaces, decentralized fragments of organic fluidity, through which we will be able to open our knowledge as a way to create a common experience. Something that goes beyond the technological or machinic, something related to our ways of doing and the quotidian: our bodies, imaginaries and ways of surviving.
An ideal scenario to share what we want and want to make possible, as the open source philosophy points out.

Komando Brujería neix amb l'eclipsi. Les eclipsades taromàntiques us proposen entregar-vos a l'absència de temps. Els rituals, com a forma ancestral de celebració, ens connecten amb el nostre costat salvatge. En aquesta vetllada, invocarem als nostres aliats en comunitat perquè ens guiïn en aquest trànsit.

Violeta Mayoral
Violeta Mayoral compagina la pràctica artística amb la recerca en teoria de la imatge i pensament contemporani. És membre del grup de recerca Improbable, grup que neix amb l'objectiu de qüestionar les lògiques instaurades en les maneres de percebre, crear i transmetre el fet artístic.
Ha participat en diverses exposicions entre elles la instal·lació A baix al Festival Emergents al Konvent.0 de Berga, la instal·lació Estats alterats en costums Diàries en la vintena trobada de la pols a la ciutat de Mèxico DF o Call me, una mostra de la feina de vídeos gravats a través de Skype en curts períodes d’aïllament en espais com un magatzem, un contenidor de vaixell al mig bosc o una caseta de fusta al mig de la ciutat. Vídeos que tracten d'evidenciar qüestions relacionades amb la performativitat en la intimitat motivats per la pregunta: Què passa quan mires?
El 2014 va guanyar la Beca Iberoamèrica del Banc Santander la qual li va permetre viatjar a la UNAM a Mèxic en la qual va desenvolupar un treball de camp a través de les imatges i sons de la vida d'un poble captats amb la càmera en streaming del volcà Popocatépetl. Experiència de la qual va néixer l'últim dels seus textos, La Imagen Terrorista (2016), en el qual es maduren idees anteriorment treballades en assajos com La Imagen en la Construcción de (2013) publicat a la revista Irreverencias. Cirurgia i estètica del departament d'Història de la Filosofia, Estètica i Filosofia de la Cultura de la Universitat de Barcelona.

Violeta Mayoral combines her artistic practice with the research into image theory and contemporary thinking. She is a member of the Improbable research group, a group born with the objective of questioning the logics established in the ways of perceiving, creating and transmitting the artistic fact.
She has participated in several exhibitions including the installation Abajo en el Festival Emergentes at the Konvent.0 in Berga, the installation Estados Alterados En Costumbres Diarias at the vigésimo encuentro de polvos in Mexico City or Call me, an exhibition of the work of videos recorded through Skype in short periods of isolation in spaces such as a warehouse, a boat container in the forest or a wooden cabin in the middle of the city. Videos that try to highlight issues related to performativity in intimacy motivated by the question: What happens when you watch?
In 2014 she won the Banco Santander Latin American Grant which allowed her to travel to the UNAM in Mexico, where she developed a fieldwork through the images and sounds of the life of a town, capted through a streaming camera of the Popocatepetl volcano. Experience from which was born the last of her texts, La Imagen Terrorista (2016), in which ideas previously worked on her essays such as La Imagen En La Construcción de Realidad (2013) published in the magazine Irreverencias are matured. Anna Irina Russell
En la seva pràcticaartística parteix de la creació de situacions absurdes per tal de descodificar les construccions socials establertes, des del que és desconcertant, lúdic o absurd com a eina de recerca i aproximació a les formes d’entendre i construir realitat. Tant en l’acció o en les instal·lacions amb les quals treballa tenen un component de temps real i viu que li fan entendre el públic no com un objecte sinó com un subjecte essencial que esdevé partícip de l’acció. També treballa com a perruquera freelance [@corto_pelo] funcionant com a plataforma per a la difusió d’esdeveniments artístics.
