Daniel and Lestat are too good together!
I object to the "dumb bitches" though. Like, both these characters are extremely smart, and that is where the bitchy fun comes from.

Saw this video and immediately thought of Armand doing the steps with Louis! Give it a watch.
Armand could either already be aware of this & mention it in his steps or Louis may need to spell it out for him which would be such a meaningful moment. I think it'll give closure to a lot of fans and serve both characters right.
... Armand did not live with Daniel and Louis.
Armand and Louis were not together for all those years. There are comments in the episode insiders of s2 already that Armand or Louis would leave for long stretches of time, and there is the cut line at the lawyer scene stating they had a "frigid existence on both sides of the bay", meaning they were both in SF, but that thing was dead in the water.
Armand is not going to do the steps with Louis, and not because he maybe shouldn't but because he does not feel like he owes Louis much after all those decades, I think. Lestat's comment of punishing him with a Louis being with Armand because of anger and spite... was very much on point after all.
Louis sat there, in Dubai, telling Armand that through all the decades he was dreaming up Lestat. On TOP of that relationship being dead for decades by then.
Like the cute couple spiel was a facade for Daniel, I mean, that should be clear, right? They are not on record for pointing out "The Graduate" for nothing either.
There is no... timeline for them.
Armand left Louis or Louis left Armand for a while, and in Armand's case he may then have found himself with Daniel for a while.
And then likely had to leave Daniel at various points once more because he ended up... hurting Daniel. In one way or another.
Your post about Amel liking Louis' eyes was great.
Can u add to all the 'burning' of vampires in the book? Ik one is when marius left them in the sun. Does akasha or amel do it again? For reducing vampire population or bcoz akasha decides all men need to go!
Cuz if it's the former, Lestat's band is toast?!
Yes, both Amel and Akasha do it in the books, the first and the second burning of the vampire world, respectively.
Now, the show pulled the "first" burning up, you could say, which makes me think that we will "only" get one more event like this in the present time.
And yes, that will... kill a lot of the younger vampires. But it is not a burning by the sun, THIS burning will be targeted fire and kill gift by Akasha, or old vampires respectively.
I... am not sure what will happen to Lestat's band. It might be that they will be caught in the burning, true. So many are caught in it in the books. So many that these vampires loved, too.
So whatever it will be - it will hurt.
Loumand deserves substantial and proper treatment too, not that lesmand doesn't. There is 80 years of warmth and coldness, tenderness and manipulations, promises and solitude to account for. This isn't book louis who looks at lestat in rags and kinda just leaves or who armand begs to react. Show louis is actively trying to be present rather than sink into grief, wear it like velvet and call it a day. Its part of the promises he made to lestat- to live honestly. Keep trying.
But loumand WITH all that history didn't qualify for a proper build up to the finale, lesmand was just another giant they never addressed. It's just weird.
I think the real problem is a lack of armand in this season and I wonder why's that. He shoulda been around and killing band members since like ep2 or 3, in the shadows plotting revenge from both exes.
I always thought DanLou friendship would play into these love hate arcs, both men having bonded over unearthing truths that while giving daniel his creepy journalistic pleasure, also gave louis his agency back, gave him clarity but Daniel is arguably the worst affected. Armand was used very poorly:(
Loumand may deserve that treatment, but they had the whole season 2 for that.
Not this season. And not built on a wholly different character dynamic.
And it did not happen in this season, as you also point out. Which was very much intentional.
And yes, I also find it all... very weird.
Just read up on some of your asks. Why do people think louis didn't try to reach out to lestat? He literally sat across a table from lestat and told him that he came cuz lestat's songs sounded like a cry for help. He is being present. But neither of them are communicating very well. THAT is the problem. Always has been.
Yes. And also... things they do not know or do not fully discuss.
So far twt has
-put magnus through the meat grinder,
-ressurected him to throw him into the fire again,
-actually stepped into hell to find his ass
I LOVE THE SOLIDARITY. WE'RE FINALLY A COUNTRY AGAIN.
Finally!
Nobody spoiled that louis can flyyyy i'm so glad cuz i jumped!
:))))
Right??
As said: THIS Louis is just so much more powerful than the one in the books, and I'm AALLLLLL here for it. I ADORED the scenes at the Fang Gang's mansion.
So very cool, so very... deadly. 😈
And Jacob's performance there was chilling.
someone tell louis and lestat that they have the same intials so that they can laugh about it and make up/make out
... I am quite sure they know that already and that is why Louis' monogram heading on his letters looks so similar initials-wise. :)
