Farrow @ all: "So I'm not normally one to judge, but, you guys sure don't look like what I'm guessing is a Mr. Mime, Gothitelle and a Gardevoir? Normally. Do your matching outfits mean anything in particular?"
Ooh. The Ms. Mime was certainly excited to have this wind in her ears. Like a pup about to receive its favorite treat, Ha-Nui’s ears perked right up and her tails raised in excitement over being asked about their articles of clothing.
“Aaaah!,” she exclaims as the youngest rests her clenched dainty fists up to her cheeks, pushing them up cutely. It was not long before she whirled around and turned to her siblings, waving her tails about.
“Sisters, sisters! This cute little fox wishes to know what our clothing means~! Eee, we get to talk a little about where we’re from!”Ha-Nui hops up and down, it’s not often they get a chance to speak of their mannerisms and way of dressing.
Seeing how happy Ha-Nui was to talk about their culture surprised Byeol just a little bit for two reasons.“Wow Ha-Nui, I didn’t know you’d be so excited to give someone a history lesson.” she said flatly.“Not to mention, I’m even more surprised that someone wishes to know about our culture…” while her response seemed really bored and unenthusiastic, Byeol was also quite pleased to talk about her homeland. Not like she’d ever show it.
Yeong-Ju is perplexed to say the least upon witnessing both of her sister’s behavior. “It is…unusual.” She admits. “However it’s only a matter of time till one grows curious, for I’ve noticed that the attire of others differ greatly from those of our own.”
She looks at the fox who asked the very question, her expression one that of conflict. But it didn’t last for very long. “I see no reason to not answer.” She sniffs. “It is a harmless question, I doubt this creature has any motives besides that of mere curiosity.”
Ahhh, the little fox wanted to know about their clothing huh? “Fine then. You want to know more about our 한복? Hanboks are traditional dresses from Korea. They usually have: bright colors, straight lines and no pockets.”
“There are multiple Hanboks of different purposes.” Yeong-Ju continues after her sister. “There are Hanboks for everyday usage, ceremonies, and other special uses.”
“The 한복 are different between men and woman, but I shall explain the pieces of what I’m wearing.” The Gardevoir gestures to her dress. “It consists of two pieces, the 저고리 and 치마. Although in your language, it would be ‘upper garment and skirt’.”
“Keehee, 네,네! That’s right!” She hops a bit in place. “We’re all wearing different styles of hanbok! My sisters wear the more casual traditional style, with Yeong-Ju-unnie having that extra layer over the shoulders and colored yellow, to convey higher status! To show she’s the oldest! Mine’s trimmed so I can move more, it feels really nice~!” she giggles, eager to bounce about a little more for emphasis as the lower parts of her legs end with a cutesy inward pose.
“But in the end, they’re just what we like to wear since we grew up with ‘em! You should try one sometime~!” recommended the fox-like Ms Mime, despite the Eevee being a quadruped unlike them. Realizing this, she quickly caught herself, “I’m sure it’ll work out somehow!”
