Hello, yes, this is Masanari’s old man, Hattori Hanzo Yasunaga. Or, Hanzo the First (Masanari is Hanzo the Second).

Hanzo junior (Masanari) is probably aiming to off his dad and take over as the leader of the village. 

Ugh, okay I will stop doing that. Hanzodad Yasunaga is just adamantly not wanting to help the Mitsuba, and the plot is overall kind of more like... Masanari finally knowing what “desperation” feels like and is willing to put his life on the line for something, not just manoeuvring around everything and yeeting if anything looks non-profitable (this is why papa Hanzo doesn’t want to get involved with Mitsuba). 

He was making secret deals with Saku and Gen, and also Yuki (Saizo’s sister). What the deal is will probably be revealed in the ending (I’m still stuck!!!). 

Basically this whole dad thing feel pretty blasé IMO... Like, it doesn’t look like Hanzo has anything personal against his dad. He just wants to off dad in order to help MC. And for a “better future”, I guess?? Since as a village head Hanzo will then have the authority to change what goes on inside.

Did a kinda speedy edit of Yasunaga (Hanzo’s dad). Not fully customised like my usual cheebs, he’s mostly just Hanzo with some additional parts cobbled together from various other cheebs (the coat is from Goemon) 

I just had to repaint the hair a little bit and tweak his face. I’ll probably redo this in the future with a full-custom one like my usual custom cheebs.

MC’s takeaway: “Oh, so Kiyohiro might be a distant relative to Masanari-sama as well”

Uh, MC, never mind just Kiyohiro, you do realize the entire goddamn village is essentially just one very very big family? That’s... kind of creepy... Like there’s a difference between a very tight-knit community that cares for each other like family, and the entire village being actually blood family.

“He cares for me, but why is he not considerate of my feelings?” 

So here, MC has found that Mitsuba is being targeted again, and there were even some ninjas chasing her. Hanzo came back from meeting with his dad and said that both Fujibayashi and Momochi are doing this, and they don’t want to be involved lest they get attacked from two sides.

And MC here is begging Hanzo to help her village regardless.

I feel like the MC is being kind of a hypocrite here. Like, you want Hanzo to be considerate of you, but you’re not considerate of him!! If the Hattori gets targeted by the Momochi and Fujibayashi both, aren’t you putting them in danger too? 

She’s not saying like “if our two villages fight together, we can win”. That’s a different story. 

Like, it’s been previously established all three villages of Iga are evil, so I honestly don’t care if all of them fights each other to annihilation, but MC’s logic here is kind of... ugh. And this here after she got snubbed by Yasu who is like “what benefit do I get from protecting you :/” and she thinks “well he has a point”. 

But she’s now whining at Hanzo like... I get that she’s getting desperate, but... ugh, usually I feel that the Tsuki MC is less airhead than the Hana MC, but I guess sometimes it just happens. I hope it gets better later.

Has Kaede/Sogo popped up in Hanzo's sequel so far?

He does. MC yeeted from Mikawa back to her village with Kaede because she was concerned about them, and so there were a bunch of Kaede scenes.

I’m so sad there’s no Haku-related items in the new castle. Saku and Gen has Tobimaru and Oboro delivering letters. Sasuke had the bird bath and Kohaku’s feather. Hanzo has nothing related to Haku. 

Hanzo, where’d you put Haku? He’s not dead, right? 

Also LMAO this “rotten” manju from Tan00k...

Hanzo is squatting at the Mitsuba village because MC said she won’t leave until they get help somehow. So he’s like “I’m also not leaving until you come with me”.

But then ninjas from the other village suddenly attack. Later Hanzo ask, "So do you suspect me?”

The options are “No” and “Kind of”.

The right answer is “Kind of” LMAO. Hanzo why do you like being suspected LOL.
