The library at Hogwarts was certainly different from what he was used to at Mahoutokoro, and it definitely took some getting used to. He wandered the aisles, ducking under books that flew past him and giving respectful nods to those he passed, though barely anyone returned the gesture. Thus far, he hadn’t been able to make any “friends” outside of his fellow villagers, and that was just the bare minimum of what quote unquote “friends” required. It was already turning out to be a pretty lonely experience.
Lost in his thoughts, he didn’t notice the elaborate book display before him, crafted by the librarian to show off the new copies of textbooks the school had just gotten. With a loud crash, his tiny body toppled all of it to the floor, drawing the eyes and attention of anyone around him. A bright red flushed in his cheeks as he dropped to his knees and frantically gathered what he could in his arms.
“Sorry, sorry, sorry!”
