Task Fifteen → Part 1: Wants
OOC: At the moment, I have Anna exploring Redwood Hollow to make new connections. I started out with her struggling with finances for a four year period to now living with her sister rent free. Now, she can go to shops she never visited before and spoil herself. Anna has her first car now and can travel further than just walking around the same area. While I make her have panic attacks for the plot, what I want for Anna looks different from what she wants for herself.

What does Anna Arendelle want?
The Want of Being Understood - In her childhood, Anna always felt misunderstood. The way she acts and the way she talks sometimes confuses people. Anna wants to be perceived in a way where she is not misunderstood.
The Want of Transparency - At 22, Anna was diagnosed with autism. In that time, she hasn't told anyone not even her sister or her closest friends. Anna is missing out on having meaningful conversations with her neurodivergent friends. She doesn't realize they are like her. They may not realize she is also neurodivergent since she does not talk about it. Anna wants to find the confidence to open up about being autistic.
The Want of Closure - When Anna has a falling out with someone, she can hold a grudge for a very long time. Being civil is one thing but she can't help but ruminate even when the other person got over it. Anna wants to be able to find closure with these situations.
The Want of Being Loved - For as long as Anna had crushes, she chased after love. She chased after kisses, dates, relationships, everything associated with love. When Anna falls for someone, she falls hard. However, she has not had much luck with it. What Anna wants the most is to truly be loved and feel love.
Why does she want it?
Anna wants to be understood because she gets upset when she realizes someone misinterpreted what she said. Wanting to be transparent goes hand in hand with wanting to be understood. Anna thinks if she is able to open up and tell people she is autistic that they may give her the benefit of the doubt in social situations. Anna wants to find closure because she wants to stop thinking about what happened for years and years. Anna wants to be loved simply because she has never had a true romantic love before. She has had platonic love, familial love, and infatuation. But for as much as she knows, Anna has never been romantically loved before. (Although, we all know that Kristoff has always loved her!)
What would it look like to her if she got what she wanted?
Being understood to Anna would look like someone taking the time to analyze what Anna said to them instead of instantly judging her. If they can't figure it out, they can ask Anna to elaborate. Anna loves to info dump so it would likely lead to lots of dialogue. Continuing the conversation without judgement will make Anna feel understood.
Since she looks up to Elsabeth and was unable to get the diagnosis as a kid, Anna would like to be transparent with her sister first. The first time opening up will lead to Anna getting emotional as she would feel as she was hiding something from her sister for so long. Eventually, Anna would start opening up to her friends one by one. With her autistic friends, they could chat about the different traits they have.
An example of a falling out for Anna would be the break up with Hans. Even though it's been years and Anna tells herself that she can be civil, she finds herself still thinking about the break up and getting upset over it. Anna gets like this over any falling out with anybody. If she was to get closure to any of these situations, a conversation would have to happen. The end goal does not have to be positive or making up with each other. Something as small as an apology would help Anna move on for good. Sometimes, she may never get an apology so another person could intervene to help Anna get over it.
Anna wants to be in a relationship and be loved. She has dealt with a break up, dating apps, and getting ghosted. Anna is becoming more aware of what she is looking for and what she needs. A relationship for Anna where the love is mutual would look like going on many romantic dates, days staying in cuddling, cooking together, going on adventures together, lots of kisses, eventually moving into their own apartment together, and eventually leading to engagement and marriage.
