Happy Hallowine: SEA NO EVIL
SEA NO EVIL
“Madman! Look through my eyes if thou hast none of thine own”
This Evil wine comes inspired by Herman Melville’s infamous beast - Moby Dick. With the phrase “Madman! Look through my eyes if thou hast none of thine own” scripted on the label. An aromatic California Red, a full-bodied blend of raspberries, strawberries, and plums.
Moby Dick, the tale of Captain Ahab’s revenge quest as told by Ishmael. Ahab is determined to find the whale that wrecked his previous ship and amputated his leg. The book Moby Dick has been accompanied by many illustrations throughout the years of the whale and ships have a beautiful simplicity about them.

It’s only right we pair this wine with the horror genre’s biggest beast of the sea - Jaws (1975). Last year the film celebrated it’s 40th anniversary and is still today one of the finest animal horror films we’ve ever seen. With a cult following, a theme park ride (RIP), and many sequels, the original stands its ground amongst the heavyweight horror films of today. The documentary “The Shark is Still Working” chronicles Jaws legacy throughout the years as it is loved, parodied and its continued presence and inspiration on film-makers. The documentary is co-produced by James-Michael Roddy who worked at Universal Studios Orlando- where the Jaws ride became an instant hit with visitors and remains today a cult classic despite its closure in 2013 to make way for the Wizarding World of Harry Potter expansion.
During its opening weekend, Jaws become the highest grossing film until Star Wars knocked it off the top spot a couple years later. Reviews varied with the LA times describing Robert Shaw as a poor man’s Captain Ahab (Moby Dick).
