Be joyful and keep your faith and your creed. Do the little things that you have seen me do and heard about. I will walk the path that our fathers have trod before us.

It's the first of the month and, yet again, it feels like time is running at a much faster pace than I am. March was freezing last year - and we had a miniature hurricane in 2017. This year we've had the teeny tiniest hint of what I like to call 'tricky spring', when Mother Nature gives us a tempting taste of what may - or may not - be in store for us over the next 6 or 7 months. Or, if you live in Liverpool, in May. Because our spring and summer usually consists of one glorious month and then a shitload of rain. We live for that warmth...then last year we had 6 bloody months of it. I know we should all be concerned about climate change - and I have two children so I am acutely aware of the risks - but it's hard to hate the upturn when a 5 year old says "only Christmas can make the winter cheerful" as she runs around without her customary duvet coat for one day. The fact that she got to wear socks was enough to make her week. We took these pictures on Tuesday. Sadly we couldn't find any daffodils for Saint David's Day. Rest assured, dear Welsh readers, that we're thinking of you. I hope you enjoyed all good things Welsh today. Leeks, lamb and laverbread forever, I say. Oh, and Dydd Gŵyl Dewi Hapus! #saintdavidsday #leekslambandlaverbread #laverbread #happysaintdavidsday #welshdragon #dyddgŵyldewihapus #sophiesvoice https://www.instagram.com/sophievoice/p/Bue3oD6APN9/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=1srdk6r3nrwx7
