100 days of productivity
9 May 2019 52/100 Decided to sleep in today and woke up at 7.40, and got right to studying... - Rewrote some parts for the project, started to fix a nice layout for it and re-read some articles - Worked a bit on the policy brief, but can't do much until efter the individual advising session on Monday Now I'm gonna have lunch before doing some more studying and cleaning the apartment, then work 16.30 - 19.30.
Ymer is such a sweetheart and he likes to keep himself busy.
I love finishing work at 3pm but I HATE starting at 8. This bed is warm and my body is exhausted. Left home at 6:30am yesterday, got home past 10pm. Today will be the same.
Having a physically straining but not that emotionally taxing job has really changed my sleeping habits.
I don’t lay awake worrying and as soon as I lie down I fall asleep.
I’m still exhausted when I wake up but my body probably just need a while to adjust to this higher level of exercise. I probably need to eat more to keep up.
Fun fact, I usually gain weight over the summers, at least when I work a lot. And it’s in muscles. Working means I can’t skip meals without instant repercussion, so as long as I work I keep my weight up. My body doesn’t look very different come fall, but I feel it at least!
I’d probably need a training schedule for fall, winter and spring as well, but who has the time and energy for that.
Work update: I just had the best 'first day at work' ever. I was anxious when I arrived but during the day everything just sorted itself out. The people there are kind, and the atmosphere is very different from what I'm used to work in. Most of the day I actually felt relaxed, something I usually don't manage during my first week back at work. I think I'm going to actually like spending the rest of my summer there. I mean, starting next week I will mostly work 4-day weeks with 1-2 days weekend in between so I bet I'll be tired by day four, but I no longer dread going to work on Friday. Because today was only my introduction day, I start work properly in July. And also, I finally have work clothes that fit. I get to wear my own black trousers, and then we have black shirts, black short aprons and a black um, kitchen bandana? Here it's called 'kökssnibb', but I can't find any proper translations for it. You wear it over your hair. Anyway, I look kinda cute. I can take a picture on Friday for proof ;)
I'm the first one here, I was let in by one of the animal keepers. Shoot me now.
