Favorite thing about them: That she had the balls to leave her comfortable life and take over a ruined, newly invaded, politically unstable Konoha and was able to stabilize it. It's like if someone offered you a job as the CEO of a bankrupt company, I certainly wouldn't take it because I wouldn't have a clue what to do but she did it and she knew how to do her job.
In addition to that you have to take into account that she gave up a life of gambling and alcohol, certainly not the healthiest but it isn't an easy thing to leave a lifestyle (especially if addictions have to do with it) for something that you don't even have faith in, Tsunade had no emotional attachment to Konoha, hell she even knew the title of Hokage wasn't what they painted it and that it was an empty title, but still she took the hat and did a splendid job.
Plus, she didn't let Danzo and Homura and Koharu do as they pleased. She was firm in her decisions and didn't allow herself to be influenced unlike Hiruzen (it still makes me laugh how in the years that Tsunade was Hokage, Danzo did nothing because he knew that if he was discovered this time there would be consequences).
Least favorite thing about them: That she sent 5 kids to fight the 4 of the sound aka Orochimaru's minions with curse marks. They just kidnapped the last Uchiha, the last member of a founding clan, someone who owns a kekkei genkai (sharingan) who is also going with Orochimaru, you know that if that child arrives with that mad scientist, bad things will happen to your village.
What do you do? You send a newly promoted chunin and 4 Genin to rescue them ._.
We know that the real reason they were sent to that mission was for plot reasons and to make them look cool (and yes, those children really showed off), but the mission was a disaster that could have gone very wrong on many occasions and is in fact considered a great failure (and it is). It doesn't matter what the excuse was for giving such an important mission to them, it was a bad decision and it made Tsunade look bad because she was the one who gave Shikamaru the command.
The search for Sasuke was a good arc, but at what cost? :(
