Reaper: I went through a bit of a beat poetry phase in high school after reading my favourite book of all time On the Road by Jack Kerouac

Symmetra: This one is a bit of a toughie. I guess sitting on a dock in late spring, the water lapping against the wood. A cool breeze blows and the sun sparkles over the water.

Where do you publish your work? Used to be on Fanfiction.net but gave that up. I just re-started longer fics on AO3 with some drabbles here on Tumblr.  What medium/application/etc.? MS Word. Do you collaborate with others? I bounce ideas off a couple of friends: @hardgarbage and @hurricanelungs and a friend who NEEDS TO MAKE A NEW TUMBLR AND BE ACTIVE  YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE mainly. How much editing do you do before you publish? Enough that I can be happy for a little while. Do you listen to music? Gotta, for drafting at least. Editing needs to be quieter.  How do you decide what to write about? I have a lot of time to come up with stuff at work. Sometimes I actually write what I think up. When do you write/How often do you write? HAHAHAHAHAHA

Very late at night and not as much as I want to. Do you take requests? I would, for flash/very short fics, but I’ve only gotten one so far. Trying to build up a collection for practice. Is there a genre or type of story you want to write but are hesitant to? High fantasy/urban fantasy.  Any inspirational quotes, videos, tricks, articles, etc that help me stay motivated? You’re gonna cringe at your work when you look back on it after letting time pass, that’s what happens when you grow as a writer. Doesn’t diminish the worth of the story. Also, write selfishly. Don’t be afraid of Mary Sues or writing OCs, just do it. Just write. The story will speak for itself, and fanfiction can fill the holes you see in the work you like.

For your consideration: Lance feeling like the odd-man-out in Ravenclaw bc everyone’s so SERIOUS all the time and really unlikely to tolerate his class-clown antics. Also: Lance feeling really pressured to do well in school bc he’s ravenclaw, feeling like he just doesn’t measure up bc his intelligence doesn’t really jive with writing papers and shit till he finds out he’s good at MAKING spells and potions like a fuckin magical, engineer, problem-solver wiz-kid

OH I LIKE THAT. And hanging out with Hufflepuff buddy Hunk for emotional support and going, “Can you tutor me man I don’t get this help me out I’m in the wrong house” and Hunk calming him down “The Sorting Hat doesn’t make mistakes, dude, of course you’re where you are for a reason.”

And then, oh wow, the immense relief when he finds that THING that proves, in his own mind, that he really is Ravenclaw, this field of study that just obsesses him, maybe teacher Shiro helped him out, and wow. He’d be so happy. He’d run to find Hunk yelling, “This is it, this is the thing, I’m where I’m supposed to be!” and Hunk would laugh and hug him and then they would go raid the kitchen for snacks to celebrate.

I like that a lot.
