What I cannot say, but feel.

The stage is set and all the world has gathered to see the last goodbye of a love so sweet

Between two lovers whose hearts no longer beat as tragedy befalls

Too many scars gained, too much history repeated

Too many excuses why this is all their fault

Love was no friend leaving hands unclaimed

As the gap between filled with pain

Time should have washed everything away

Leaving behind a way to start again

Before feelings became too drained to endure the rain

He should have been stronger

She should have taken his hand

Both should have fought to keep the other

So many regrets, when there was only one solution

Simply stay and endure the test

But, there is a problem

Friends attempting to survive a couples war

Leaves both lost upon the battlefield

Unsure what purpose they are fighting for

Do they love each other?

Do they miss each other?

Is all this misery worth the amount of struggles?

Only to prove what everyone else already knows.

She doesn’t know he struggles to stay or go

Unsure what he’s been waiting on

He doesn’t know she hides in her guilt unable to see

That nothing will change if she can’t face who she wants to be

Maybe this is their end, simply to be a once upon a time memory

Unable to find the strength to be more than friends

Their goodbye is said,  and the audience gasps in despair
