I spend my time working round the clock both inside and outside. When the sun rises, before I go out, I plan at least an hour to relax and think to myself. I don't watch the news, I don't do anything but work. Not for a job, not for money, and not because I have to, but for a bigger purpose. This time last year I had everything stolen from me. For those who know me as a videographer or camera person I lost almost all of my equipment. For those who knew me as a computer tech I lost a few laptops and tablets. However for those who knew me as a track and field athlete at Spring Valley High, I lost a lot of my memorabilia and awards that I will never get back. I worked hard for those and for them to be taken so senselessly has been so confusing and hard. I watched the news and saw nothing but disappointment. For people of this world to not be able to decide upon or agree to how we should treat other human beings is sad and unproductive. How is it that an individual like me could provide treatment to multiple major problems single-handedly (albeit to some stupididly), yet the ones that have the power to help the most are at each other's throats? There's so simple answer I know but we can start by working together. People are out of jobs and panic ensues. That creates a terrible place mentally I know. To make this short of a novel chapter my question is, what are we working on? This is the perfect time for all leadership in this country to work on one common objective. Unfortunately after all my stuff was stolen I had a series of mutiple projects that I had finished but when it came time to pay people vanished or something came up. Imagine not getting paid for 6 months. I don't have to. I still have people that haven't paid me for years and I have an individual who I haven't paid. If I had quit working when I lost everything I wouldn't be alive. I worked to fight through not sleeping for weeks, I worked through random bouts of water coming from the ceiling that I would learn to fix. I could go on but the most important thing is I kept working. The drawing is of me from a Veteran by the name of Josh Gillespie.
