I know hares probably likely self identify as freaks but I really...don't call them freak rabbits. They're just animals. I just...wonder whether people are appreciating hares for what they are while calling them this.

I think like, human judgements of animals so close to me makes me feel strange. Especially when of course rabbits are the cute ones 🙄

Para's essay on being a jackalope free from human judgements ("oh that's a half antelope half hare monster") comes to mind.
