I typically use bases to chill out and let my brain and hands rest, and then sometimes I find a way to make it a lotta work anyways. I gave up on keeping the shading consistent halfway through, I don't like shading so you get what you get lol.

Also bonus headcanon for those that clicked the read me and scrolled: I think Daisuke literally cannot wear the school uniform because he's too tall. Yu's dang stomach is visible and Daisuke's taller than him, I don't think the shirt and pants would fit.

I know they just didn't prioritize giving him outfits because Kou is the main focus of Strength but let me theorize.

Realized since I finalized my furry Kenji and Makoto designs I could update this old sketch to look a bit nicer!

I must've based the original Kenji on a piece where I colored his hair mega dark since I couldn't achieve the original colors whatsoever lol

My furry Makoto design as the Nicecream Guy / Blue Ears, specifically from Deltarune Chapter 4, because I've compared Kenji to Pizzapants several times, so of course I gotta draw Kenjikoto as nicepants.

Done as a more doodle-y / low effort piece to chill out.

Behold, Makoto but he's a dang hare! With artfight always lingering off in the distance I wanted to get all my P3-but-furry designs drawn properly so people have more choices to draw, but it's taking forever.

Like I was waiting to put this guy in the queue so Kenji could be with him but I haven't drawn anything for over a week. So he's alone, sorry Yuki.

This is the first time I've actually gotten that "erase / outline an image to draw the back" thing to work. But I forgot to flip it so ignore his ahoge not changing direction whoops.

Design notes I guess?

His paws are supposed to be like his reload gloves.

The dots on his tail are like his headphones.

Kenji's going to have heart markings on his ears so Makoto got teardrop-ish ones on his.

No pawpads because rabbits don't have those!

If canon Makoto has a palette this design can be drawn with it. If canon Makoto wears an outfit he can be drawn wearing it. If I've ever depicted Makoto in any way this design can be drawn like that. Since this is not a sona or OC or anything my "rules" are really dang loose.

He's a hare since Yu is a dog and Akira is a cat. It's also because Kotone is a rabbit, so together they make that "rabbit to hare" scale meme image. I didn't want any of the protags to be the same species.

Binder bc trans protags real. I originally was going to give him a waist length one but realized that would hide some markings.

More of my Persona 3 furry designs but now they're Animal Crossing characters!

Makoto took longer to color and Kenji took way longer to line because I was not happy with his eye shape (still not 100% happy but had to say I'm done eventually lol).

Yuki is based on Tiffany, Francine and Genji. His design wasn't changed much, the biggest differences being his ear shapes to be closer to AC rabbits, and changing his hair gradient to a solid color lowlight. It was too busy with the proper gradient.

His personality would be Lazy, maybe gaining Normal traits as he's befriended.

His hobbies would be Walking Around and Music.

For trades he'd offer any and all furniture that can play records, alongside the occasional piece of fruit. A rare trade would be a KK song you don't own yet.

His signature furniture item, something he won't ever get rid of or trade, would be a Tape Deck or a CD player. He'd also have records decorating his walls.

Bonus of he will stop singing if he notices another Villager approaching. He will not acknowledge his singing. He doesn't sing while Kenji is singing.

Kenji is based on Butch. His design is practically unchanged outside of making his eyes and eyebrows way bigger so he reads as cutesy to kinda contrast with Yuki.

Kenji's personality I'm less sure about. I'm leaning Smug mixed with Peppy depending on how close he is to someone.

His hobbies would be Shopping For Clothes and Fashion.

His trade items would mostly be clothes, a surprise every time.

His signature item would be a Vintage Dresser or a Japanese Dresser. He'd also have one or two Gracie or Labelle items out on display that he occasionally wears.

Bonus of Kenji will never gossip or engage in gossip about other Villagers. If he's talking about another Villager it's because they need an item returned or he's saying something nice. He will only sing around Yuki.
