The line is delivered in a rehearsed and sacchrine tone. And that's exactly all that it holds, Ichimaru was prone to such agitating actions when he became restless among social settings, this much Aizen was certain of and although he wasn't one to condone pointless disruptions, it was understood that his long time, loyal, follower was not doing much more outside of minute instigation for amusement's sake.

"Just be sure to—clean up after yourself, as usual. There are still traces that I can sense from here."

"Um, thank you Orihime-san. While I do appreciate the enthusiasm, this wasn't simply a try." There was no malice behind his comment but only friendly rapport as he curiously responded to her. It wasn't a criticism he was taking harshly, he really did know she was well-meaning but he did have to wonder what exactly she meant this time.

"That's what it's supposed to smell like, taste like and look like. Granted, I took the liberty of not including the additions of gummie candies, canned peaches or marshmallows, that you have included when making it in the past. This is the traditional recipe for katsu curry."

"Orihime — don't worry about it. You've done more than enough. Just leave this to Chad and the rest of us, ok? It's all going to be alright."

He can feel his heart swell and in that moment all he wants is to reassure her. Have her feel safe from anything that might harm her or wear her down even when he knows she's already pushed herself to meet her limit. But dammit, if it's in him, he's going to try. And so his features soften, in the face of desparity he still manages to express a warmth that even he hasn't felt in years.

Was this humor—it did bring a nuanced amusement to play along his lips, so perhaps he'd continue to play along. How very entertaining.

"Oh? Did you find that last bit of information, too harsh for your taste, Gin-san? Have you somehow managed to find those morals you once claimed not to have? Do tell me, where have they been hiding all of these years?"

Once his eyed found her there was a break in his demeanor, a subconscious expression he's gradually become prone to making around those who have found a way into his small, inner circle. For someone who is typically so controlled, never one to want outsiders to catch onto his true feelings, it doesn't happen often enough. It speaks far more than the words he's said in greeting.
