So, as we know @vowtogether are going on strike. As fans it’s our responsibility to help them in whatever ways we can.

Here’s what we can do:

• Signal boost content posted by VOW. Get their word out there.

• Send word to Voltage that you would like VOW to be recognized & heard.

• Be vocal on social media. Say that you want VOW to recieve the pay and work conditions that they deserve. Voice approval for the writers, support for what they’re doing, and your desire for them to continue working with Voltage.

• DO NOT boycott the app! — Don’t delete the app! Don’t stop playing the app! Don’t stop using tickets in the app! Don’t stop using hearts in the app!

• DO NOT send hate to Voltage!

i would love to hear your thoughts on the baseball scene in hsm2. definitely not straight right???

oh strap in because this is going to be LONG (and thank you so much for asking me to talk about it)

through subtext, it’s my belief that the entirety of HSM2 is a gay love story between chad and ryan (there’s a whole theory on the internet somewhere that i saw years ago). the baseball scene is just the most *obviously* homosexual. it starts off with whatever this was meant to be, i’m not sure how it was meant to be taken other than in a gay way:

and as if that wasn’t gay enough, ryan then goes and pulls this power move with the bat two seconds later:

the whole “i don’t dance” number comes across as this tense enemies/rivals-to-lovers story and i am extremely HERE for it. i mean, look at those faces. those stances.

and then, of course, the highlight. the peak of romance. the cherry on top. the pièce de résistance.

why did they ???? whYY DID THEY ????? SWAP CLOTHING??? AFTER THE GAME ???? i won’t accept any heterosexual explanation for this. look at the fondness. look how close ryan is leaning into chad. chad’s even wearing ryan’s cute little hat!

This chapter of Blades was such a good one. Somehow, despite everything, I didn’t expect everyone to follow into the Realm of Shadow and I was loved it. The part that struck me the most, however, was the dynamics we got hit with between the characters.

This was a group of strangers once upon a time. Now, we have Mal backing down on his usual humorously dismissive attitude because he can see on Tyril’s face that he can’t take it right now. We have Imtura throwing her arms around Tyril and Mal’s shoulders, declaring cheerfully as she smiles at MC how she’s happy to fight and/or die alongside the lot of them. And at the core of it all, they didn’t go into the Ream of Shadow to stop the Shadow Court— they could have regrouped, prepared better, and found another way. They went in for Nia, because they love her.

Maybe I’m just a sucker for found family stories, but the way the group behaved was so natural and starkly different from what the dynamics were like at the start. There’s no hostility between anyone like there was when they first met. If you choose to sneak into the Shadow Court’s castle, everyone’s behaving almost like children; bickering, teasing each other, blundering through traps together. Despite breaking into the lion’s den their guards are still down around each other emotionally.

thank god everyone dragged PB for that pride month crap, they deserved that. PB: HIRE 👏🏽 QUEER 👏🏽 WRITERS! and hire writers of color! insights from those communities would be invaluable to choices as a whole.
