How do you think Ron would be in social media?

Yeah, based on Ron’s general behavior and demeanor on Kim Possible, that boy would have a time on social media. I think he’d be that person that wants lots of followers, worries about things like clout, essentially those high school behaviors where a person wants popularity. Except instead of your popularity being well... regional/local/fixed to one school, your popularity is global.

My impression is that if Ron had something like a Twitter, that bio would mention something about he’s the creator of the Naco. That one item alone? That is the most popular thing he’s ever done. And we know this because the royalties he got from it in Ron Millionaire was a lot of money (99 million USD, iirc). And that’s just from, what I assume is maybe a year of sales. I think he would expect that would get him a lot of clout. 

And that’s just focusing on things like clout and followers, that’s not even getting into mental health. Which, uh... yikes. It’s pretty well known that social media is not great for one’s self-esteem/image/confidence/etc. I think that would also have an impact on Ron, because I mean, yeah, he tends towards wanting to be something he’s not. He’s gonna be impacted by the influencers that look perfect all the time and that sort of thing. 

Overall, I think social media would turn the canonical insecurities that we know Ron has up to eleven. 

Also, as a bonus, I’m sharing this discussion because I remembered it existed and I was able to find it. (It’s more focused on Kim’s presence on social media as a Very Public Person, though).

How do you make your colorful gifsets? They are so pretty

Thank you! I guess you mean something like my recent Sansa gifset?Honestly nothing special. I just used a basic soft brush in photoshop to color the background on gifs and added overlay: soft light and that's all! (plus of course, before that, I use my usual basic coloring using with brightness/contrast, hue/saturation, selective colors etc. which will be different for each show) If you have any questions about some specific post or in general - feel free to ask 😊

i have!!! i really liked it! i enjoyed vengeful too, although there were some bits that didn’t quite connect with me. i still don’t know what ve schwab was getting at with june, for instance- but i really enjoyed the books!

5. In Graduation Part 2 when it’s specifically Kim being in mortal danger and the threat of losing her forever that allows Ron to finally unleash his Mystical Monkey Power to the point where he actually canonically kills the bad guys.

4. In Trading Faces: “Ron, I’m not a model!” “Why not? You’re beautiful!” and also Ron’s heart-eyes when he sees Kim wearing the dress on stage.

3. In Clean Slate when Kim remembers she’s in love with Ron specifically because he loses his trousers.

2. The kiss in Emotion Sickness and also how utterly lovestruck Ron is about it.

1. Tie between “Out there... In here.” and the kiss at the end of So The Drama. The entire movie is a cinematic masterpiece.

Like... there are so many adorable moments to choose from, but I think these are my favourites!

What’s your process on character design? How do you design a character? Where do you start and what inspires you?

I usually start by compiling references ! Very rarely do I design a character without references somewhere on the canvas. I try to think about what this character’s goals and motives are and how I can incorporate this into their shape language. Where they live, what kind of clothes they’d wear. I think it’s important to understand who you’re drawing before you start drawing them. But that’s just me !

And I’m inspired by tons of things ! The most prevalent being animals, music, literature and, of course, film. Any one of these things can fill me with all the inspiration I need to start a project. 

Music is probably what I’m driven by most. I’m always listening to music. Always.

What do you do if on a song animatic your are having particularly difficulty with a scene on a certain part of the song? Either you don’t feel the scene or can’t think of anything that fits it well, how do you work through that part/scene?

honestly i skip it LOL, come back to it later! 

if you leave out a blank block for that beat and keep moving forward, seeing the rest of the board come together might help you think about what needs to happen in the moment you’re struggling with. 

OR another thing that helps me if i can’t figure out the visuals exactly yet: literally writing out what story moment/action needs to happen during that beat

like, here’s the earliest version i have for bitter water, half of it is just my chicken scratch handwriting and some shitty thumbnails LOL
