Muggle!AU wherein Harry plays (American) football for Hogwarts High and Hermione is in the competitive marching band, and neither ever miss the other's games or competitions (respectively), which Hermione is thoroughly grateful for that promise after Harry proposes to her on the field when she's called up as a Senior Marching member.

Hermione invites Harry over to her house to have his first sleepover experience. Of course, she has a checklist, but this time it's for all the right reasons. They bake, watch movies, eat popcorn, and, naturally, have pillow fights. But while Hermione is laying on her bed, face red and laughter filling the room after an intense battle, how could you expect Harry to not kiss her?

Harry had never experienced summer, in Hermione's opinion. So, the only reasonable solution is to take him to the mall for him to buy whatever he wants (and whatever Hermione would like) before taking him to fairs, amusement parks, and finally bringing him on a cruise. If Hermione hadn't been in first place for the best girlfriend, she certainly was now.
