Later that night, we received a knock on the door. There had been an accident and Cloe... she was gone. She wasn’t coming home. My sister, my only friend was taken from us in a blink of an eye.

Family Dynamics Crossover
So, I’m sure many of you already know of the wonderful @desira-sims, who is also playing the Family Dynamics Challenge. We decided to do this little collab type thing, as we realised we had unknowingly ended up with some very simiar sims for Generation 5 of the challenge. You can check out Des’ post here. So, without too much more rambling from me, enjoy this little au story of Carrie and Naomi meeting Salene and Harmony.
It all came to a head the night my mothers pulled me aside to have a conversation. It seems, unexpectedly, Mom had found herself pregnant. Something in me snapped. I spent hours yelling and screaming. How could they do this? Cloe could never be replaced this easily.
It didn’t matter that they visited Cloe’s grave weekly and were still struggling themselves with trying to overcome their grief. As much as I saw all these things, I truly didn’t see it. I was too lost in my own grief.
It was that night, while my mothers were asleep, that I snuck out of the house. All I took were a few changes of clothes and these journals. I didn’t know where I was going, but I knew I had to get out of that house.
Momma was so excited over the news. There was never a moment that she wasn’t finding an excuse to love on Mom’s belly. They were counting down the days until my sister and I were born.
I was ready to be a teen. I felt so grown up. So invincible. It didn’t matter how much I fought with Mom. I was bidding my time until I could move out.
Cloe would shake her head at me. She really tried to be my ear to vent to, even if she didn’t understand why I lashed out so much. I don’t know if I quite knew.
And in another blink of an eye, my sister and I were ready to start school.
As I said, looking back at these photos, it’s kind of hard to believe everything goes to shit.
My parents had that typical fairy tale romance that most members of my family seem to experience. They met in high school but it wasn’t until college that they decided to to take their relationship to something more than friends.
Momma (Harmony) loved to tell the story of their first kiss. The two of them had met up at their favorite park. Mom (Salene) was shy and stumbling over her words, trying to ask Momma out. Momma eventually took Mom’s chin in her hand and forced her to look into her eyes. Both would say everything seemed to click in that moment, that they knew this moment would be the beginning of the rest of their lives.
