You’re probably thinking, Your life doesn’t sound too bad. Of course things are tense in your house with you combating your mom at every twist and turn.

You’d be right for the most part. Sure, most of the troubles I faced were at my own hands. I’m a big enough person to admit that. But no... the thing that forever changed our family happened at the end of our junior year. It was the night of the last school dance. 

Cloe, Noelle and Aaron were dressed up in their finest, ready to dance the night away.

Cloe continued making friends like there was no tomorrow. Her closest ones were Noelle and Aaron. The three were constantly hanging out.

But even with our differences, we were two peas in a pod. It didn’t matter that our family was living in a three bedroom apartment, when it came time to upgrade our room we still shared a room. 

Cloe seemed to understand me. She knew when I needed my own space. Knew when I needed someone to talk to. I can’t say it enough. She was my one and only friend.

I was ready to be a teen. I felt so grown up. So invincible. It didn’t matter how much I fought with Mom. I was bidding my time until I could move out.

Cloe would shake her head at me. She really tried to be my ear to vent to, even if she didn’t understand why I lashed out so much. I don’t know if I quite knew.

Cloe and Aaron eventually became a couple. I can’t even be the over protective brother and say he was no good for her, cause he really was a good guy. Aaron cherished her with all his heart.

And in another blink of an eye, my sister and I were ready to start school.

As I said, looking back at these photos, it’s kind of hard to believe everything goes to shit.

Cloe grew up to be the biggest Social Butterfly I knew. She was Outgoing and always making friends. It didn’t matter where she went, she was always leaving smiles behind.
