No, because what was this casting? Give whoever did it a million dollars.
Bonus with the man right here, completing the genetic match...
Jackson Avery & Harper Avery Headcanon (AU)
(I hate what they did to Harper Avery because of the #metoo movement going on at the time and hijacked his character to represent that 🙄plus Jackson family is already messed up and it’s hard to believe he got out of that virtually unaffected so I decided to make it make sense )
Harper Avery was raised in small town in Southern Oklahoma before going to school for surgery in Washington
His accent has dwindled over the years but it’s still there , slight but there only gets full out when he’s really mad
He married his childhood sweetheart Mary-Ann (OC) who died 11 years after Robert was born
They had a son named Robert Avery. He had to do the impossible during that to which was being single father to his son , whom had a hard time dealing with her death as well as a long time gone father.
Robert eventually got into drinking and later drugs because of this. Which put a wedge between he and his father because of his not too compassionate way of handling his son’s addiction.
No amount of yelling, fights, rehab could fix the situation.
The last night he saw or even talked to his father, he hooked up once with Catherine. They meta. Few times before and a I guess the attraction was mutual at the time.
They were the same age. Robert had become well known over the years due to his one Ina while pop up’s that was always an argument between him and his father.
Catherine didn’t want Jackson at the time not waiting to hinder her career and Harper gladly took him, but let Catherine go, because she felt it was too cruel to have Jackson see his mother around the hospital who wants nothing to do with him She agreed and left but it without a recommendation letter which he agreed to.
Jackson raised by his grandfather called him ‘Papa’ (southern gene for grandfather ) and grew up to be a surgeon like him.
Catherine came back in his life 16 years later and it’s been a rocky road ever since.
But he distanced himself so he can be without hassle for himself assuming he got in by nepotism.
Why did you kill of Catherine in Anonymous?
I wanted to write a story about Jackson being homeless/in a low income situation and for all her faults, Catherine would never let that happen to Jackson. She's against his classification but overall would not want him struggling financially. Especially given how she grew up, which was very poor. She still loves Jackson deep down, under everything else, she's just...Catherine. Like, even in canon as much as I don't like her during the arc, she does try to protect Jackson's money when he marries April on a whim.
Harper, on the other hand, doesn't give a shit and is very much "you wanna do something I don't agree with? You're disinherited, be gone." I think he also loves Jackson...in his own way...but...he really doesn't care about him on a deeper level.
Say what you will about Derek Shepard, but the way he stands up to sleezy-handsy-pervy-Harper Avery made me 🥵🥵🥵🥵🥵🥵🥵🥵
jackson’s freudian slip saying he will take comfort knowing his grandfather died will get you every time
"I take special comfort in knowing that [my grandfather] died. D-doing-- Doing what he loved."
-Jackson Avery, Grey's Anatomy S14E3
Grey's continues to have amazing casting.
