Just some random shit I thought of at like one A.M.

Ok but like here’s the thing.

In every Anime and/or manga and/or TV show I’ve seen in my whole life, there is always ONE sick episode where a character will suddenly come down with this high fever and the whole cast of characters takes care of the sick character.

And something I’ve found is that even though they’ve had the Paladins be exhausted and injured before, they have yet to do the “sick day” episode that regularly appears in television.

So here’s my headcanon for what I think would happen.

First of all, I think Keith would be the one to get sick. Not Shiro or Lance or the others, but Keith. This boy has the weight of the world on his shoulders and he NEVER tells anyone about it!

I know Krolia is supposed to be like a large portion of Keith’s past solved that also opens up some new questions, but I honestly think that finding would make this all the more reason to have Keith get sick.

Let’s review:

He found his mom, then they spent two years in a time warp together, then they came back, Keith fights Shiro and almost dies in the process, then IMMEDIATELY goes into another big fight with Lotor, then the castle blows up, and BAM the team’s been gone for three years. Now season seven, Keith almost loses Shiro, gets him back, his mom left again, they get home to earth to find the Galra have taken over, they fight Sendak, Keith KILLS Sendak, then they fight an altean monster thing sent by Haggar, and then HE ALMOST DIES FOR LIKE THE FIFTH TIME IN THIS SERIES. Then they go to work fixin earth.

And how many breaks has Keith gotten in the series? HARDLY ANY. I don’t think I’ve seen Keith 100% relaxed since the episode in season 1 where the team is fighting The Castle ship and he and Lance got trapped in the elevator.

Now coming from someone who overworks themselves often, I can say for a fact that it is IMPOSSIBLE for Keith to not get sick with all that pressure and not having any break whatsoever.

And like Keith has only actually “blown up” at the team a rare amount of times, like “The Void” episode in season 7 where he lashed out at the team a few times from delusion and starvation, or when Pidge tried to leave.

It wasn’t because he was angry.

It was because he was scared.

BUT THATS A TOPIC FOR A DIFFERENT TIME SO HERE WE GO IMMA SAY HOW I THINK THE “KEITH GETS SICK” EPISODE WILL GO!!!

Keith will probably wake up and know he’s sick but he’d blow it off as nothing or something not important, then go straight to helping the team rebuild Earth.

But while he’s working, he starts getting weaker and weaker. He’s snapping more at everyone, especially the team which, even though he’s the hot head, he hardly does

Finally, once it’s time for lunch, Keith doesn’t eat at all because his stomach hurts too much (but he doesn’t tell anyone obviously) and that’s when the team realizes that something’s up. They keep an eye on him the rest of the day

About an hour or so after lunch, while the team is flying to the next place they need to clean up, the Black Lion starts falling out of control due to Keith fainting from fever.

The Paladins quickly stop what they’re doing to bring Keith back home.

He would be running a high fever and have some sort of alien flu or virus that would be affecting him differently due to his half Galra heritage.

While the whole team would be together, Keith would be delusional and then

Finally

He tells the team he tried to kill himself back when Lotor saved his gay ass.

And then for the rest of the day the team would alternate between Paladins and Krolia to take care of him through fevered nightmares, flashbacks, and other stuff.

SO YEAH THATS WHAT MY TIRED MIND THINKS OF AT LIKE 1 AM! It’s like 10 now sooooo Yee
