What’s a cover you just couldn’t resist? . I originally bought the US edition of The Queens Of Innis Lear but then I saw this beauty 😍 After months of debating, I finally caved and bought this edition. I regret nothing, this is one of the most beautiful books I own. . Plus the book is one of my favorites! It’s a King Lear retelling centered around his daughters. It’s immersive, the world-building is fantastic, and there’s some incredible female characters. Seven years ago, I set out to write an old-school space adventure told through the eyes of a teenage convict. I named her Char with a hard ch, like something that got burned. I wanted to explore the breaking down of polite society during a massive catastrophe, and who better to do that than someone society had already left behind?

I wanted her to be resourceful but not particularly wise and to have a strong desire for redemption without fully understanding what that might involve. So began Char’s story.

This week, I am thrilled to announce the conclusion to The Ark Trilogy. It has been a truly fantastic ride, and I can’t thank you enough for joining us. I am beyond grateful for the massive support you’ve given me at every step. It’s been the most unexpected and deeply humbling honor of my life.

In The Fall, Charlotte Turner is going down, but not without a fight. Obviously.

And speaking of covers...

It’s remarkable how much stock we, as readers, put in the cover of a book. It’s our first impression of the work, for better or worse, and sometimes it’s the first time we “meet” an author. So much hangs on that one little image, and that’s before you even crack the pages.

Is that fair? Maybe, maybe not.

It’s like choosing an outfit for a blind date, except that if you’re a writer, someone else chooses it for you. (Y’all are my date in this analogy, by the way. Here’s hoping you call me up again sometime ;)

And luckily for me, HarperVoyager appears to have the world’s greatest art department. No, that’s not exaggeration. Feast your eyes on these lovelies, and maybe we can all go out again sometime:
