I don’t scare easy anymore.
I grew up around real-world horror—addiction, small-town politics, people disappearing in quieter ways than the movies ever show.
So when I say a book I wrote creeped me out while I was writing it… that’s not marketing. That’s me admitting I had to turn on an extra light more than once.
My new horror novel is called THE LONG STEP.
In sixth grade, four kids walked into the pines outside Kettle Run, North Carolina.
Only three came back.
The story the adults told was simple: a boy wandered off and was never seen again.
The story the kids told—whispered at sleepovers for years—was different:
The forest took a step that night.
Not claws. Not teeth.
A gap in the world that moved.
A single impossible stride between two trees… and a boy caught in the middle.
Twenty years later, the past starts walking again.
A burned-out mechanic wakes to find a line of bare footprints across his carpet, much too long, ending at the window.
A child therapist finds pine needles in her ninth-floor shower drain and a muddy footprint on the ceiling over her bed.
A survival YouTuber sees one corrupted GoPro frame: a long, wet footprint halfway up his garage wall… and something too tall to fit in the shot.
They all share one weekend, one missing boy, and one secret they’ve never told in full.
Because the Long Step doesn’t live in the woods anymore.
It shows up in the places you’re truly alone—hospital chapels at 3 a.m., empty office floors, rest stop bathrooms on dead interstates.
And every time it appears, it takes one step closer.
If you like:
psychological creature horror
survivor’s guilt and broken friendships
monsters that don’t claw or bite, but edit reality under your feet
…then this one’s for you.

If it gets under your skin, I’d be grateful for a rating, review, or a share with another horror reader.
Step carefully. Some distances don’t stay the same once you’ve looked at them.

🌍 The Hidden Power of Reading Every Day
Reading is one of the few activities that can entertain, educate, and inspire at the same time.
Just 15–20 minutes a day can introduce you to new ideas, different cultures, fascinating characters, and perspectives you may never have encountered otherwise.
Books allow us to travel without moving. They let us experience adventures without taking risks. They help us learn from people we've never met.
The best part?
Every book teaches something, even when its main purpose is simply to tell a great story.
Whether you enjoy fantasy, science fiction, mystery, history, or self-improvement, every page is an investment in your imagination.
So today, pick up a book. Read one chapter. Read one page. Read one paragraph.
Small reading habits can lead to extraordinary discoveries.
📚 What's the last book that left a lasting impression on you?

The book Cassandra's Shadow by M. Brosh is winning hearts. A spy, thriller, and political novel, based on real Mossad operations – stopping the nuclear programs of Iran and Syria, uncovering terror networks, and revealing from the inside the assassination of nuclear scientists in Tehran.
The plot is gripping, fast-paced, and deeply connected to today’s security reality, yet written in a smooth style that feels like a Hollywood action movie combined with true Israeli depth.
Fans of covert operation books will find here a powerful experience that perfectly blends reality and fiction.
The book is already nominated for a prestigious Debut Novel Award – an incredible achievement for a first-time author.
If you love thrillers, global drama, and courageous intelligence stories – this is a book you won’t be able to put down.
