harricislife replied to your post “fuckin sucks that I read a couple really good Percico fics and then…”
Rec please
okay! so I’ve actually been on a little binge with Percico before I crashed and burned on my own shit, and there’s been a sizeable amount of quality fic written! especially given the outright hostility the PJO fandom has for certain ships
the two finished pieces that had the greatest polish were written by the same person
The Case of the Dying Flower and Binding Magic
Dying Flower is the real star of the show for me because I love how the author integrates mythology into an actual plot, but Binding Magic is the first time I’ve seen Percabeth negotiate a polyamory with Nico that delivered the appropriate amount of conflict and angst before achieving resolution. basically it read as believable
there are some WIPs also out there which were really quite fun, like one AU where Nico was blessed by Nike and kidnapped by Romans, but I try not to rec unfinished fics since. well, you know. me
Are you going to make art for other ASoIaF mothers as well? Because if so, I request one each for Stark, Tully, Tyrell, Martell and Mormont houses as well. :)
I was planning on doing some of these, but as I have a vacation job right now and have a few commissions lined up too, it will take a while to draw all of these. It’ll depend on whether I feel like drawing them, when I have the time. I’ll keep them in mind though!
I’m finishing up an elia martell-piece though! I’m hoping to post it later today!
Hey, so I absolutely loved the au where Dick could see colors after seeing back from dead Jason. Was wondering if you would continue with it. And as much as I love JayDick, and I want them to be together in this au, I was wondering maybe you could write Jason's POV to seeing the colors of the world, and Dick's too with reaction and support from the rest of the family. I feel like both of them should not go through this alone. Just a thought. Great fic, as all of the rest of yours are. :)
DEFINITELY need a sequel to the colorblind soul mate story w like Jason and dick coping with these new circumstances
Ask and you shall receive! But also don’t send me asks for like 24 hours so I can have a prompt free inbox for five minutes and relish in the accomplishment of completing this several months long task of writing all the prompts.
Part One
The Colors in You
Dick had tried his hardest to hide the fact that he saw colors when he went to the manor. As far as he knew, no one else there had met their soulmate yet, so Dick would be the only one to see the colors Thomas and Martha Wayne had used to decorate the manor.
He was surprised by just how light everything was when he saw it all in color. Usually, he wandered the hall in the early mornings and late evenings, but with the afternoon sun shining on everything, Dick could see how bright the spaces really were.
He stopped when he saw delicate colors out of the corner of his eye and he stepped out the french doors to the garden. He’d always been used to smelling the flowers, touching their petals, and taking them in that way, but the colors were so much more unique. Dick sat down on one of the cobbled paths in the middle of the flowerbeds and looked at everything. The bright purple and yellow of the pansies, the deep blood red roses, the shifting shades between blue and pink of the hydrangeas. All of it cradled in a mess of green leaves and vines.
“Ah,” Dick heard the familiar British lilt behind him. “I see you’ve seen your colors, Master Dick.”
Dick turned back to look at Alfred. “How did you guess?”
“You’ve never blinked twice at the flowers before, but now here you are.”
Dick stood up, brushing off his jeans and he looked out at the garden, “They’re so beautiful,” he replied, voice in awe as he watched a butterfly with black and orange wings flutter through the air.
“Do we have the pleasure of knowing the lucky soulmate?” Alfred asked.
Dick frowned before he could do anything to hide it. “Yes,” he said. “But not in a good way.”
“It sounds like you and I are in need of a sit down with a nice cup of tea,” Alfred said and Dick could feel the slightest bit of comfort at knowing Alfred was being supportive.
“Yeah,” Dick whispered.

Jason had accepted a long time ago that his life would forever be in black and white. The only time he’d seen color was right before he was brought back to life. The idea of the bright green that haunted him still made him want to choke, remembering the feeling of waking up with it everywhere inside him, burning away at all the damage.
After awhile, Jason had accepted that he didn’t want to see his colors. He was happy enough on his quest for revenge and he knew he probably wouldn’t live long enough to meet his soulmate after he took care of Batman.
That’s why Jason was kind of upset when he watched Nightwing, someone he knew and used to be familiar with, swing across a rooftop. It started at the center of his costume, muted gray giving way to a bright electric blue that made his eyes ache. He’d watched it travel up Nightwing’s shoulders and down his arms before color bled into the rest of the world.
Jason didn’t mean to follow him onto the rooftop, but he was stunned, his body moving on its own while he processed the information.
When Dick turned around and stared at him, Jason was hit full force with the feelings he’d had for Dick Grayson before he’d died. He expected them to fade into loathing the same way his feelings for Batman did, but seeing him with his silken dark hair and skin tight suit caused everything to come back.
Jason had forced aside the feelings of longing and need inside him and run away.
He’d looked in the mirror that night, tracing the pale stripe in his hair that he now learned was white. His gaze settled on his own eyes though, a shade of blue green that, if Jason stared too long, reminded him of the Lazarus pit. He looked down instead at the bright red of his helmet, glistening even in the shitty light of his bathroom.
Jason sighed, knowing he’d have to confront all these feelings sometime. If he was in Gotham for any longer than a week, Dick would find him again, especially when he was killing people. For now though, Jason had to deal with the fact that everything was saturated with colors now. Black was no longer black, but contained shades of blues and violets, and white contained hints of yellow. He didn’t expect everything to have color, but it did. Jason squeezed his eyes shut, hoping to escape to the blackness of his own eyelids, but there was color there too.

Dick didn’t expect to see Red Hood again. Not after the whole ordeal with Batman. As much as he’d tried to help, Bruce had forbid him from doing anything regarding the case, especially after the Red Hood had tripped him up and sprained his ankle.
Things got worse when he found out the Red Hood was Jason Todd. Dick wondered how he hadn’t seen colors when he’d met Jason beforehand. They’d trained together, argued, and been around each other enough before Jason died for Dick to have seen his colors when he saw Jason. But he hadn’t.
He mulled over this information often and he almost missed it when someone settled down behind him on the rooftop.
Dick turned around and there Jason was, minus the hood, wearing only a black domino over his eyes. Dick could see his tousled hair and the white stripe over his right eye.
“I figured you and I needed to have a talk,” Jason said.
“Should we go somewhere more private?” Dick asked him.
Jason shrugged. “Why not? Your place?”
“Okay,” Dick got up and followed Jason to his apartment building, not at all surprised by the fact that Jason knew where it was. Dick knew where at least three of Jason’s safe houses were.
When they were inside, Dick took off his mask and tossed it onto his coffee table. Dick looked back up at Jason and the other man paused.
“Your eyes,” Jason said. “They’re, wow, Dick.”
“Yeah,” Dick said. “My parents always told me how blue they are but I only saw it a few weeks ago.”
Jason took his own mask off and Dick saw that his eyes were the dark blue green of the deep ocean. It was fitting, the ocean was deep and unknown, always churning and moving even when you never thought it was. The color was so fitting for Jason it made Dick’s heart ache.
“So,” Jason started. “Soulmates, huh.”
“I don’t get it,” Dick said, then realizing how that sounded, he continued. “Why now? Why not before?”
Jason sighed. “I think it’s because I’m a different person now than when I died. The person I was before isn’t your soulmate, it’s the person I am now.”
“So what are we going to do?” Dick asked him. The question relied on Jason because Dick knew he was going to stay in the Gotham area. He had no idea what Jason would do now, though. Would he run all over the world again or would he stay.
Dick stepped forward so there would be less distance between them. Jason was taller than he was and it only reinforced the fact that Jason was so different now. He was bigger, taller, and he had grown up into something that took Dick’s breath away.
Before Dick could stop himself, he reached out, fingers touching the red bat on Jason’s chest. He was about to pull his hand away when Jason’s hand stopped him, holding his wrist.
Dick looked up at Jason, unsure, feeling like they were both dancing on a high wire with nothing below them.
Jason’s grip tightened on Dick’s wrist and Jason pulled Dick closer, closing the distance between them, their chests brushing as their faces got closer. One of Jason’s fingers was on Dick’s pulse point and Dick wondered if Jason could feel his heart beating beneath the material of his suit.
Jason brought his other hand up and cupped Dick’s cheek, his eyes searching Dick’s. He had no idea what Jason was looking for and he didn’t have that much time to think about it because moments later they were kissing. Jason’s lips were a little bit chapped, but he kissed Dick deeply, like he was prepared to drown in it if he had to.
Dick felt like every other kiss before this had been nothing. Kissing Jason was like stepping out into the middle of a storm, intense and beautiful and marvelous because it’s totally natural. Jason’s fingers traced over Dick’s cheek and then into his hair while Dick wrapped one arm around Jason’s waist and the other over his shoulders so he would be closer.
He didn’t know how long he kissed, and it didn’t matter because Jason stayed and they kissed over and over again, the intensity never fading as they lost their clothing and fell into bed.
