"Exciting? The Harrowing. It was a time for Piltover to gather and be proud of the hard times we’ve survived. It was a celebration we had every right to be proud of what we had accomplished. And after our borders had been closed for so long, it was a real pleasure to see representatives from all over Runeterra stopping by to wish us well and celebrate with us." She nods, primly.
A shadow appears before the Sheriff, while working late at night, but rather than the full regalia of armor, or indeed even a full body, it is Zed's torso and only one arm that appears, drifting in the air "Cait... lyn" Says a raspy voice, almost a whisper of it's original self "Stop... me" Before there is even a chance to respond, Zed cries out, and with the sound of anguish still ringing in her mind, his form, frozen in an image of torment, dissolves away. In the harbor, the mist approaches.
She’s not quite sure what she saw, or what she heard, but there is no doubting her senses. She puts down her pen, and rises. She moves to the window, and watches the city. The way the lights become globes as the mist rolls in.
The chill crawls over her skin, but she refuses to shiver.
"Better to light a candle than curse the dark," she murmurs, turning away and slinging her rifle over her shoulder.
Set up on a hill out of town, Jinx had the fireworks all set up. She was waiting patiently for Tristana and her guests to show up. Glancing at the rockets behind her, she gave a smile. Tonight she would do something NOT evil with explosives. It would be a first.
She could hear foot steps on the grass. Glancing around, she searched for whoever it was that was approaching.

Vi gets uncomfortably close to Cassiopeia, gives her her most intimidating glare, and hopes it's enough to get some candy...
Cassiopeia raised a single eyebrow to Vi, but soon gave a small laugh. " Alright, alright dear. Here. Some Sugar Bones for you!" She then handed the officer a generous amount of candy. She had a feeling Vi had a sweet tooth with her love for donuts and all.
Katze held out an open bag. "You wake up to see that Urgot guy next to you wearing nipple tassels and asking if you enjoyed yourself last night."
" Oh gods... take the candy before I throw up..."
"I made love with you sister and she screamed out your name."
" TAKE THE CANDY! TAKE IT!" Cassiopeia quickly yelled, shoving some candy into Oren's arms.
The sun had set and the moon had risen, the night of the Harrowing had fallen and children had come, giving Cassiopeia their best attempts to scare her (which ended up coming off more as adorable than actually scary in most cases) but eventually came a moment when she would notice a shovel digging itself OUT of the ground. A bloody, skeletal hand emerged out of the ground and dragged up a Skeletal Jax. "That scary enough for you?" Jax asked. (asksktjax, Skeletal Outfit with a bloodied Shovel)
Cassiopeia blinked in surprise as she gave a gentle smile and offered a few bags of Sugar Bones to Jax. " Yes, that will certainly do! I'm impressed Jax."
"The day is FINALLY here!"
Jinx was practically bouncing in on her couch, excited for the Harrowing that had finally arrived. even if she knew it spelled disaster as well. The dark clouds had completely covered the sky, blocking out the sun and moon day and night. And on the horizon, the fabled mist crept its way towards the city, sweeping across Valoran. In all likelyhood, Piltover was not ready for the coming specters. But she was.
