Headcanon … headcanon. How about a birthday headcanon. Harry and Louis were both MIA on Harry’s actual birthday. There are tons of possibilities.
Louis woke Harry up early-bird-gets-the-worm-style and made eggs benedict while Harry recovered and came down from his sex haze. Yes, despite popular belief Louis can in fact cook some things. So after they ate breakfast in bed and had some well deserved cuddle time, they facetimed the family. Anne got slightly teary eyed over her baby turning 21 and Louis had to excuse himself from the room because he was getting a little choked up too. Harry found him sitting downstairs at the grand piano and when he walked into the room Louis started playing the keys. He had been working for weeks on a song just for Harry. It was different from the band’s usual style. This was all Louis. His heart was in every note and every word. It was the most beautiful thing Harry had ever heard. He wanted to bottle it up and keep it forever. When Louis was finished, he got down on one knee and took a ring out of his pocket, something he had done at least 10 times before and something he would probably do at least 10 times again. And as always, Harry said yes. Multiple engagements was kind of their "thing". They spent most of the day lounging by the pool, soaking up the sun, enjoying the peace and quiet of their home because they would be leaving for tour soon and wouldn’t be back there for while. For dinner Louis took Harry to a new restaurant he had been dropping not so subtle hints about and it lived up to their expectations and then some. They met up with some friends afterward for Harry's first legal-in-the-US club experience. The rest of the night consisted of body shots, cake in places it probably shouldn't be in, sloppy grinding dancing, and pictures that would never see the light of day. Mario Kart activities began in one of the dark corners of the club and resumed back in their bedroom in the early hours of the morning. Best birthday ever.
