Hi, love. Yeah, this is something that was debunked years ago, but (as with many things), the fantasy is more fun than the reality, so people keep passing it on.

I'm going to ask @voxina (or anyone else) to confirm the details because I may remember them incorrectly, but in the second gif, you can see the interviewer standing behind Niall, in Harry's eyeline. He was looking in her direction before Niall leaned in. I recall people saying H appeared to be crying because he had allergies. We know he has hay fever because the photographer, Ryan McGinley, said he was suffering from it when these photos were taken (and H looks like he's crying).

In a 60 Minutes Australia interview with the same journalist during the same period as the Sunrise interview below, you can see how bad his allergies are.

Okay, so the first place to start is the “crying during sex” tag once you’re in the character/relationship tag you want to be in, and if that’s not helping, you can also search for “overwhelmed,” “crying,” or “tears,” but beware, those tags can lead to angst city! This is a fun place to start, fwiw, because it gives you a LOT of Harry crying-centric tags to explore, but I reckon a lot of BDSM-tagged fics will have “Harry crying in a good way,” too. If you want my own quick and dirty top ten, here they are, but I know for a fact there are a lot more because, me? You know... I don’t think I’ve ever heard a theory that made any sense on that one. I tend to think it was just the lights, or it didn’t have any particular significance, at least not in terms of their relationship, because Louis looks completely fine (which I highly doubt he would be if Harry were that upset).

Maybe someone else remembers? Any other old timers around this morning?
