Pacific Crest Trail Countdown: one day. Hiking through Washington's wettest September on record, the end of my first #PacificCrestTrail thru-hike didn't go exactly as I had hoped. We got turned around at various points in the trail including north of Stevens Pass, at Cutthroat Pass, and at Hart's Pass. Although I'm beginning this year's hike only slightly earlier than I did my first #PCT thru-hike, I am significantly more prepared this time around. I now know all too well the consequences of arriving late in Washington. Hopefully, the weather (and the fires) cooperate this year. #HartsPass #Washington

Mountain passes ✔️. Blooming larches ✔️. Autumn colors ✔️. First snow ✔️. .
