Startup Career Fair: Top 10

Do you consider yourself an entrepreneur? Have you always been intrigued by the idea of startups? The Startup Career Fair is the best opportunity of the year to network with organizations in the field and to see if startup culture is the right fit for you. These employers are looking for people to get in on the ground floor!  There are a whopping 82 organizations attending this fair, and to pique your interest, here is a look at 10:

1. CELLINO - Cellino is engineering human-like cells and tissues for replacement therapies. Our team of engineers, scientists, and industry veterans are building the next pillar of the regenerative medicine industry. They have summer and term-time paid internships and full-time positions available to all years and degrees.

2. Bevi - Bevi believes that how you stay healthy and hydrated is your choice to make. They also believe that you shouldn’t have to choose between what’s good for you and what’s good for the environment. They’re on a mission to replace mass-produced bottled beverages with custom drinks mixed at the point of use. They are looking for juniors, seniors and graduate students to fill various summer and full-time opportunities.

3. Empatica - Empatica creates groundbreaking AI systems that are friendly, caring and more human. Through this wearable technology, they strive to understand human behavior, empowering patients, clinicians and researchers driven by physiological behavioral biomarkers. Their clients are among the most distinguished universities, hospitals, companies, and charities in the world. Empatica is looking for juniors, seniors and master’s students to fill term-time internships and full-time positions.

4. News and News - News and News is an independent and non-partisan news source that strives to be your antidote to the biased and made-up news epidemic. They bring you updated, impartial, and reliable information, all day, every day.  Their team of real people based in the U.S., Europe, and Asia decide what we post, while constantly reviewing news sources across the political spectrum.  Every article selected is analyzed to ensure News and News reflects our complex and ever-changing world. They are looking for juniors and seniors to fill summer, term-time and full-time roles.

5. Skydio -  Founded in 2014 and headquartered in Redwood City, CA, Skydio is a self-flying robotics company from the co-founders of Google[X]'s Project Wing. The core of our system is the computer vision algorithms that allow drones to understand the world around them. This technology will ultimately enable many of the most valuable drone applications for consumers and businesses over the coming years. Skydio is searching for juniors, seniors, graduates and grad students to fill their range of internships and full-time positions in technology.

6. Smoodi -  smoodi aims to make people happier and healthier by providing fresh and customized smoothies through its proprietary, self-cleaning smoothie machine. Imagine a Nespresso for smoothies! They are looking for seniors graduate students and graduate alumni to fill internship and full-time positions.

7. Solstice -  Solstice was founded on the belief that every American household can be powered by affordable renewable energy. By deploying community solar, Solstice works for greater energy equity and a future in which clean energy works for every American household, regardless of income level, credit score, or any other factor. Given the opportunity, every American will be more inclined to take part in the renewable energy revolution. They make it their job to create those opportunities. They need sophomores, juniors, seniors, Alumni or master’s students to fill their paid internship positions and full-time roles.

8. TB12 -  TB12 is transforming global health & wellness by empowering athletes to prevent injury, improve longevity, and raise their peak performance. Inspired by the training method of 3-time NFL MVP and 6-time Super Bowl winning quarterback Tom Brady, TB12 delivers personalized, comprehensive programming to a worldwide audience. The TB12 Method integrates revolutionary concepts in deep-force muscle pliability work, hydration, nutrition, functional strength & conditioning, and cognitive health. We support athletes through an omni-channel approach that incorporates physical locations, immersive digital experiences, and innovative functional products. TB12 is seeking alumni from across the University to fill their paid internship and full-time opportunities.

9. Vincere Health -  Vincerehealth uses remote monitoring devices, behavioral data and financial incentives to help people quit smoking and get healthier. They are open to all students and offer paid and unpaid internships for summer and term-time. Full-time positions are also open.

The Startup Career Fair is on Friday, February 14th from 1-4pm at the Harvard Innovation Lab (very on brand). The event is open to all Harvard University students.  1. Andie Co. – Andie creates women’s swimwear, and it is a unique brand because it is designed with the input of thousands of women. They let you try on any style at home with free shipping, free exchanges, and free returns. They are committed to finding a swimsuit that fits your body! Andie is in NY, NY, and they are looking to fill full time, term time, and summer internship positions. They are targeting all undergrads, undergraduate alumni, master’s students, and graduate alumni. 

2. Cambridge Humanities Group – The Cambridge Humanities Group aims to advise STEM and business professionals on mastering soft skills by passing on their knowledge about the humanities and social sciences. They believe that these fields are able to promote values such as collaboration, curiosity, empathy, and critical thinking. The Cambridge Humanities Group is in Somerville, MA, and they offer full time, term time, and summer internship positions. They are looking for all undergrads, undergraduate alumni, master’s students and doctoral students.

 3. Circle – Circle believes that money should work similarly to the internet – it should be open, secure, and everywhere. They allow their customers to easily invest in crypto currency, exchange crypto currency, and send money just like a text message anywhere around the world. Circle is located in Boston, MA, and they offer full time and summer internship positions. They are looking for sophomores, juniors, and seniors.

 4. Indigo Ag – Indigo can improve a farm’s profitability by creating a platform for buying and selling grain, as well as by improving their yield and profit margins. They are also able to guarantee a great quality of food for their consumers. Indigo is in Charlestown, MA and is offering full time, term time, and summer internship positions. They are seeking all undergrads, undergraduate alumni, graduate students, and graduate alumni.

 5. KALEA Wear – Kalea creates scrubs that are able to endure long shifts. They have traveled the world to determine the best fabric blends, and the result was the creation of strong, flexible, and durable scrubs that are also the most form-flattering on the market. Kalea is in Cambridge, MA and is offering unpaid term time and summer internship positions. They are looking for seniors, undergraduate alumni, graduate students, and graduate alumni.

 6. Noodie Foods – Noodie Foods wants to give you the ease of ramen noodles without the shame. Their products include 25% of your daily vegetables along with moroheiya leaves, an ancient Egyptian superfood, to give you instant food that is both good for you and good tasting! Noodie Foods is in Boston, MA and is offering unpaid summer internships and term time positions. They are looking for juniors, seniors, undergraduate alumni, master’s students, and graduate alumni.

 7. SHEPHERD Therapeutics – Shepherd Therapeutics seeks to help those who have been diagnosed with rare forms of cancer and feel overlooked. Rare cancers are the 3rd leading cause of death in the US, and 30% of cancer diagnoses are considered rare. Rare cancers account for more than 500,000 cancer diagnoses every year. Shepherd Therapeutics is in Cambridge, MA and they are looking to fill term time, full time, and summer internship positions. They are specifically targeting sophomores, juniors, seniors, undergraduate alumni, graduate students, and graduate alumni.

 8. Tembo Education – Tembo wants to give parents an easy way to educate their young children at home. They make this accessible by simply sending parents a daily text message with a 15-minute activity to perform with their child! Tembo is in Boston, MA and has term time and summer internship opportunities available. They are looking for all undergrads, undergraduate alumni, graduate students, and graduate alumni.

 9. thredUP – ThredUP provides an easy way to shop for and sell your secondhand clothing. It makes the clothes you love much more accessible because they are sold at up to 90% off every day! ThredUP is in San Francisco, CA, and they are offering full time and summer internship positions. They are seeking juniors, seniors, undergraduate alumni, graduate students, and graduate alumni.

 10. virtudent – Virtudent is the first commercial tele-dentistry practice in the US! It is their goal to increase access to dental care, lower costs, and better outcomes for their patients. Virtudent is in Newton, MA and is offering full time, term time, and summer internship positions. They are looking for all undergrads, undergraduate alumni, graduate students, and graduate alumni.

AcceptU: www.acceptu.com What it is: A service that provides virtual admissions counseling (via Skype, phone, and email) to college, graduate, and MBA applicants. Fun fact: More than 90% of AcceptU’s clients have been accepted to one of their top three choices.

Custora: www.custora.com What it is: A customer-centric marketing platform that helps e-commerce marketing teams acquire, retain, and segment their customers better.  Fun fact: Some of their clients include top e-commerce companies like Etsy, Fab, Threadless, Revolve Clothing, and Birchbox.

iSeeCars: iseecars.com What it is: A search engine that uses Big Data to help consumers find their perfect car at the best deals online. Fun fact: iSeeCars currently enables shoppers to search over 4 million used and new cars and gives them the key information to help them find their perfect car at the best price.

LifeGuard Games, Inc: www.lifeguardgames.com What it is: A health tech start-up building mobile games that teach and motivate kids to manage chronic conditions. Fun fact: The first app of their Wellapets virtual pet game app series targets kids ages 5-11 with asthma.

Proximate: www.proximate.com What it is: An event-planning system that collects and analyzes LinkedIn, Facebook, and Twitter information from attendees to better segment mailing lists, rank sales/donor targets, and update CRMs. Fun fact: Proximate was founded in 2012 by Harvard graduate Robb Fitzsimmons and Evan Morikawa.

Runa LLC: www.runa.org What it is: A sustainable, organic Amazonian beverage company that processes and sells guayusa. Fun fact: Started only 5 years ago, Runa now supports more than 2,000 indigenous farming families and employs more than 40 people.
