my earliest memory was playing ts1 on my family's beefy dell. my dad told me I'd stack books in the computer chair to reach, so I must've been four to six (2004-2006). my older sisters played ts1 and ts2 so I have memories of playing both at a young age!
the first family I ever remember playing was the grunts in ts2 strangetown. I have a specific memory of my mom frosting a cake in the kitchen to sweet child 'o mine by guns 'n roses while I played (2007-2008). there's certain songs that I associate with ts2 because of childhood memories like that and I'm happy to have them.
I've been thinking about this for a while, but @criquette-was-here's 'hood deco cars as defaults for the drivable cars. my sims don't use cars because I don't like that they don't match, but it would make my whole year if someone managed to do that!
haddock bay — main 'hood llama springs — remake of my first 'hood (oakview) absentide — fantasy/supernatural 'hood pleasantview strangetown
I think it would've been "independent" because I always wanted to just play in my own little world surrounded by my toys and comfort movies. some things don't change!
my guess is in the thousands. I've been playing for over 20 years across several iterations with lots of gaps in time. the sims 2 has my heart, though, and I'd say on a daily basis I spend anywhere from an hour to like... ten. It depends! one of my favorite things to do is put on a movie on the side of my screen while I do whatever. lately I've been watching d'angelo wallace's streams, but before that I was in a documentary kick.
