feeling the grief really bad tonight. not even sure how to comfort myself honestly, I just want to cry and rage at the injustice of it all. this fucking pandemic.

#it's so hard to sit there with a brave face on and act like I can handle life just going on #everyone who came out of the woodwork to offer help back in September #has disappeared #family is mostly quiet #eveything's 'normal'#but not for me #and not for those of us left #i just want to talk the things we used to talk #I've tried to lean into other interests and try new things #listen to new music and focus on the creativity #but all it is #is just tiptoeing around the edge of the massive gaping hole in my heart #she was a bastard who raised us badly #but I miss her #nobody else has got me and misunderstood me the way she did #nobody else wants to talk the things she did for hours at a time #I wish I'd seen her more recently #but then that's always how it is #it's never enough #I wish I didn't have to bury my one semi decent parent #and then step up and keep going for however many decades I don't have with her now #it's hard seeing everyone else have what I can't have now #not that other peoples family issues aren't valid they are #but she's dead and I can't ever reconcile the damage she did #or get the family I deserved #my family now is basically just me and my five siblings struggling through it as best we can #none of us asked for this and of course nobody does #but fuck me if I don't have anyone to turn to who might get it #everyone else gets to be in their 20s #relatively normally
