I so frequently have the thought lately that thank god I'm smarter/more capable/more stable now that I was in my teens and twenties

maybe by the time I'm 40 I'll feel like I actually have my shit together

I think I may finally be getting used to quarantine/pandemic times. I have barely been glum or irritable or useless for at least a week or two now. And I've started working out again and slowly checking things off my chore list, rather than just sitting around and... not doing that.

I have also suddenly started watching a bizarre amount of television programs either in German, set in the 1920s, or both, for someone who had no particular interest in either of these settings before. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

My origami fascination that started a couple weeks into quarantine is also still going strong. Made a tessellation hydrangea tonight to tuck in with my Mother's Day card. It's not great (that one fucked up petal...😠) but I am improving. Tessellations are kind of hard, and I'm still not sure I have the right kinds of paper for some of these projects, as this interest hit out of the blue and I had no experience whatsoever and threw myself in with zero research.
