Okay, so this is a VERY goofy picture of me but it’s also the only one I have of myself from my very first Pride I ever attended (NYC, Summer 2012). This was honestly one of the best days of my life. I was bussing tables that summer at my cousin’s restaurant in the Bronx, was exhausted 24/7, and didn’t have many people to hang out with that summer, so I decided to attend Pride alone. It was truly a magical day. You know when you’re experiencing something and you just can’t put into words exactly how you feel or felt at the time? That was me the whole day. I just remember that I could not stop smiling if my life depended on it and I felt so much goodness around me I wanted to combust into confetti and glitter and unicorns. I was out to most people in my life by this point, and I consider myself lucky that I’ve been accepted the way I have been. So happy to be out and proud, I wouldn’t have it any other way🌈👭🦄#happynationalcomingoutday #nationalcomingoutday #lesbian #gay #likesoooogay #lgbtq #pride #proud #hashtagsforqweens #hashtagsforqueers #hashtagsforlife (at Greenwich Village)
